Find out what Bar restaurants to try in London. You’ll see double-decker buses and even the River Thames, but while London, Ontario, has clearly been inspired by its British namesake, this is a distinctly Canadian destination. Attractions like Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Banting House and Eldon House will captivate history buffs. Or indulge your, shall we say, slightly less cerebral side with a tour of the Labatt Brewery.

Picked as was beside our hotel. Wife picked the coconut bean curry, I had the schnitzel. Sat quickly, chairs were not the most comfortable in the front room by the bar. Very gracious waitresses, very attentive. The curry was for my wife glorious. The rich flavour of the coconut cream with a mind taste of a Korma was perfect. The only downfall was the doneness of the broccoli was a bit under cooked. The same would go with the broccoli on my plate. The pork was done just right, though the mashed taters could use some seasoning, maybe I am jaded with garlic at home, but it could have used something. The temp on my plate could have come out a bit warmer also. With a glass of wine each, we were very pleased. The wine list could use some Canadian choices big time to mirror the beers listing. The over all experience was very very good.

My wife and I attended Chop Steakhouse London for our 8th-anniversary dinner. The staff cheerfully greeted us and helped us to make the correct choice with information about our meals. they met all our needs and were very attentive and courteous. We highly recommend people to attend this restaurant for any occasion or just for a casual meet. Food and service are awesome. They even took the time to present us with a happy anniversary card signed by all staf..how nice and unexpected.Hello Jim D.So great to hear that our team made your special occasion one to remember. Menu touring and hospitality is what we teach our service team and they clearly hit the nail on the head. I wanted to thank you for your amazing review, and spending your anniversary with us! Unique, distinctive and delicious cuisine inspired by the rich cultures of Latin America.
My wife and I went to Che Resto on a Saturday night, trying this place for the 1st time. It was eerily quiet, for most of the evening we were the only people in the restaurant. Service was consistent and attentive, but not obtrusive, realizing it could have gone over the top with a lack of other customers. As far as the food was concerned, a mixed bag. The guacamole and pulled chicken enchiladas were considered fair. The calamari and chicken croquettes lacked flavor and were a disappointment. As another reviewer said, 'mediocre' at best.

Heard their burgers were good and was not disappointed! Boyfriend had meatloaf and he said if was good, not amazing or anything but good. He liked that they gave us free popcorn as an appetizer.Food was better than I would usually expect for a bar/pub and prices were very reasonable.

Our bistro offers a range of food experience from beet and goat cheese salad to salmon niciose. We utilize local as much as possible. We also have an extensive wine list exclusive to us in the village and not available at lcbo stores.
Our visit was on the first really nice day of spring and the patio was packed. This can be a bit of a problem if you choose to stay indoors because the servers spend a lot of time going out and in!There is very limited parking on the property and more on the street. We had reservations and were offered a table in the center of the small room. They apparently were saving a nice table on the side but no one occupied it the whole time we were there! We were seated in front of the non-operational fireplace. The floor is uneven, so the table was rocking! Tyler brought menus and adjusted a table leg so it was more stable. He was also very helpful with my beer selection- just told him the flavours I enjoy and his recommendation of Kronenburg was a perfect choice. It was cold and delicious! We went this route because I felt the wine prices were inflated. The food was excellent. The lightly dusted and fried calamari was a bit on the light side but the portion was generous and their version of tzatziki was yummy! Our entrees were fantastic and beautifully presented- 2 pork tenderloin rouladin stuffed with roasted red pepper, spinach and feta on mashed potatoes finished with roasted red pepper sauce and garnished with a sprig of thyme - kudos to the chef!!They were certainly in no hurry. We waited quite awhile for our bill and even longer to cash out! But we were in no rush and we were enjoying the party poppers at the next table. The food is so good and reasonable, I do not hesitate to recommend The Sweet Onion Bistro!

The Works is a full service, licensed, casual dining restaurant chain with outdoors work themes. The restaurantâs main menu feature is burgers.
This is basically a burger joint, but you'll be astonished with the options. You start out with your choice of protein - ground beef, chicken, and the like; choose your toppings; then choose the type of bread/roll you want. You can do this by yourself, or you can go to their suggested list of burger/toppings combinations and confirm them. Don't forget to look at the large list of appetizers, too. Craft and domestic beers and wines are available. We had two large burgers, one order of fries, and two rounds of drinks. The total bill after tax and tip was $74-USD. Pretty expensive, but pretty good, too.

With hearing great reviews, my husband and I decided this restaurant would be a great choice on my birthday. We were Sat fairly quickly, in the corner of the patio. We had a look over the menu and decided on drinks. We waited. And waited. We watched 3 servers come and go to the tables around us. They made eye contact and went back inside. After seeing the table beside us have their second round of drinks while sitting there, after 39 minutes without service, we decided to leave. I let the hostess know as we passed, that our table was free, since we have not had service. She replied "ya, I know, sorry". And walked off. After almost dropping $150, I'm glad we didn't. With working in the industry for many years (both of us), we understand how busy things can get, but this was not the case. We were purposely not served for who knows what reason. Highly disappointed, and have told friends and family our experience. Go somewhere that respects you and is thankful you are spending your hard earned money at their establishment.I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly sorry I am that this happened to you in our restaurant. There is absolutely no excuse for this level of negligence and I am as shocked and appalled as you rightfully are. There was obviously a major breakdown in communication among our staff that night to say the least, and I take full responsibility for their actions (or lack thereof). I wonder if you would be willing to contact me directly so that I can personally apologize? An opportunity to make this right may feel like more than we deserve, but I am asking anyway. Please reach out to me at [email protected] with your contact information and I will respond with gratitude.Vanessa Willis, Co-owner, The Church Key Bistro-Pub

We are a social house, an extended living room, with a focus on strong community roots. The old village pub would have bought fresh fish from the neighbourhood fisherman, their bread from the mill, and the beef and vegetables from the farmer down the way.
The accommodating host in his kilt allowed us to select our table - at a window where we could watch the sunset.MacCoolâs offers daily pours and, on Thursdays, bottles of wine are 1/2 price. One of my favourites is VQA Pinot Grigio by Crush @$17.50( LCBO price is $12.95). They get a small mark up and the customer gets a deal. It was on ice and a wonderful match for the thick cut calamari which was served with lemon and a spicy Thai style chili dip. This lightly dusted preparation is tender and tasty and quite different from the usual crispy rings.Hubby enjoyed a large Cobb Salad and I opted to go with French Onion Soup. The broth was tasty and piping hot, the carmelized onions a little too crisp and the topping of gruyere/ provolone generous and gooey. The desserts sounded too good to skip. One very rich sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, the other a smooth white chocolate cheesecake on Oreo crust with delicious English toffee drizzle and very thin oil based whipped cream. How about some of the real stuff?Throughout, Kelly seemed to be everywhere doing everything for everybody! The duo of The Paddy Stones was entertaining with their toe tapping Irish music. They started @ 6:40 and played for an hour before taking a break! Happy music! Great evening!Donât forget to ask for your CAA discount!Hi there, thanks for the really amazing review, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience at our restaurant and we really hope to have you back again soon!

Just got back from a very disappointing visit to this restaurant. I live in the neighbourhood so had high hopes. They have all the right ingredients for a super restaurant...great location, outdoor patio, lots of foot traffic but once we entered it was so so disappointing. The place was not busy but we had to wait for a server to seat us, then wait and wait for a cup of coffee. We actually approached a server and the manager about the wait but still had to wait. I had plenty of time to observe the workings of the place. The servers were busy but Tony the General Manager needs to get off his phone, get off his favourite seat at the bar and actually work with his staff instead of lifting his head from his phone and giving directions by pointing a finger.By the way Tony, i know where you hide your phone.
