Went for lunch aspartameâs of a party of five. Delighted to learn it had Chinese platters. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. Chicken balls had lots of meat, rice was tasty. Everybody liked their lunches and some got takeout containers for leftovers. Not a fancy place but excellent family restaurant.

We decided to try this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and was well recommended by others on Trip Advisor. My wife ordered the special soup and egg rolls. Both were excellent, especially the soup with tasty broth and generous shrimp and bbq pork. My combination plate #6 had chicken fried rice (average), beef and green (good) and bon- bon spare ribs ( poor). I had ordered the plate for the ribs, famous in Thunder Bay. Sadly I received 5 ribs of the worst cut available. Mostly tendon and bone with almost no meat at all. Really too bad considering ribs are a very inexpensive meat to purchase. Service was excellent and restaurant was clean and attractive. Recommended but skip the ribs.

Asked a local for a good Chinese restaurant close to my hotel and she recommended the Oriental Gardens. To my surprise it also has some Vietnamese dishes so the choices were extensive. Had a great meal at a reasonable price with good service. Some additional wine and beer choices would have been nice.

This restaurant has been variable from day one. This visit was not one of the best.A lot of items have been removed from lunch menu, like grilled beef and the flounder. The buffet was almost the same except for some cutbacks, bacon with the pirogies and shrimping Singapore noodles. They were understaffed and as result food arrived cold.Dessert section was very much reduced.Only thing that wasnât cutback was the price.Wonât return.

Decided on something different for takeout tonight and gave Asian a shot. Really impressed with our food. We ordered 2 combination dinners. I had shrimp and bonbons. My husband had beef w greens and chicken balls. The meat on the bonbons and in chicken balls was fantastic. Lots of meat. We also ordered spring rolls which were excellent. I would recommend this place. We will order from them again next time for sure.

In Thunder Bay overnight at the Days Inn, Wyndham North and the '5 Forks Restaurant' is just a short walk next to it so we decided to head there for dinner.Hubby ordered a Craft beer and I, a Virgin Caesar. LOTS of ice in the Caesar but it was very good, complete with a stick of pepperoni, a hot pepper and a pickled bean. We decided to split two of the 'Shareable Boards', a mini cast iron fry pan of Steak tips and mushrooms cooked in Cajun spices and 'garlic bread' and the Peri-Peri chicken tacos. We would order the Steak Tips again, although they should really label the garlic bread as a garlic stick (it's about an inch in diameter and 6 inches long). The dish had lots of flavour and the bread was good to help mop up the sauce. We wouldn't order the Tacos again. 3 to an order. They were VERY messy and had a way higher ratio of coleslaw and sauce than they did Peri Peri chicken. On the whole it was 'okay'. They did have Fish n' Chips on the menu and the fish was coated in crumbled Salt and Vinegar chips. I'd like to try that.Service was okay, ambiance was nice and the booth we were in was comfortable.

Wasabi Japanese Restaurant serves fresh, flavourful made to order Japanese, Thai and Fusion food. This family owned restaurant prepares all dishes by hand with new techniques and takes on traditional recipes. From classic curries and tofu dishes to sashim
I grew up eating authentic Japanese food that brought in customers from all over the world. I have not had anything as good in years - until now.Cannot wait to bring my family back this year. It is only a 17 hour drive...well worth it!

Ordered from here because of their delivery service. Saw on Trip advisor someone bragging about the Butter Chicken so I ordered it. Chicken was tender, but the dish was boring with no spice or flavor. Also had an order of spring rolls, much like the butter chicken, this was not memorable and would not recommend to others. Best part of the entire meal was the rice.Guess we are spoiled because we have a fantastic Indian restaurant in our hometown.

I stopped in here for dinner one night while checking out the downtown. I ordered two Pork Springrolls. They were huge, but I have to say that I have had better. I ordered the Sen Pad Ped (#31), basically a spicy pad thai. It was a large portion, and delicious. One of the best Thai meals I had eaten in a while. They also had a selection of local craft beer to help beat the heat in the dish.It was a comfortable enough spot to eat in - and a good number of tables, although I noticed just as many people doing take out.
