We rented a suite, we are also traveling with a dog. Here's the short stick version: I will say... for the most part, it presented as mostly clean. I've stayed in worse. The floors are not carpeted, they are laminate and they have very stained gross area rugs under the bed and the sofas. I've stayed in nicer pet friendly hotels. It's definitely misleading if you go into the very chic and modern lobby and then get assigned the area we stayed. There were no weird smells other than old building. Very shabby and outdated. I do think they are in the process or about to start another round of remodels? It was into day two that I realized that there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door that neither my husband and I used. So that was super gross. Never in all my years have I had that happen. There's really no excuse for it either. If they can't do their job and grab all the towels, what else are they being lazy about? Oh yeah- the chunks of bugs and litter under the bed and behind the night tables. My other annoyance is there was a small group of smokers that were hanging right outside the main door to the section we were staying in. It was not 25 feet from the entrance, but why would they move if the cigarette disposal thing was right outside the door? Oh and one morning they were smoking and drinking at 7 am outside the door in their stocking feet. So if that's any indication of the classy people that stay here- there's your sign. 1.)Beds- decent 2.)Pillows- we bring our own 3.)water pressure/shower temperature- decent 4.)suite space- large 5.) toilets - HORRIBLE they barely flushed, nothing like seeing your turds chase each other in circle before finally getting sucked down and if you didn't jiggle the handle they would run until you pop it and it runs some more and finally turns off. VERY ANNOYING. 6.)Plugs- EXTREMELY lacking. They were alll the way down a the trim line. The one on the awkward kitchen peninsula wouldn't even reach my electric kettle. Very annoying. My husband had an alarm clock with usb plugs or a corded plug or something. My side didn't. The lamps should at least have a plug in them if the plug ins aren't accessible. Very annoying. I tried to put out the night table to see the situation. Let's just say they haven't thoroughly cleaned room 121 in a VERY LONG TIME. I appreciate the non- carpeted floors and the fact that they are pet friendly. But for the love of Pete - sweep behind and under things at least once a month. Good gawd. 7.)Air conditioning. Okay the weekend we were there was probably the first warm days we've had. It was also humid. Turned on the A/C, one in each "room" of the suite. Guess which one was noisy and useless and which one actually put out cold air? Guess which one was in the bedroom? Yeah... Luckily it cooled off outside enough we didn't need to run it all night. 8.)hotel grounds/pet friendly - very pet friendly outdoor space- plenty of dog stations yes there are always going to be rude lazy dog owners. The first day was fine- the second day- there were giant piles of dog crap- I saw the owner and dog guilty of being lazy and gross. 9.)As for the sink? It was nice to have a sink that wasn't in the bathroom- it was just one of those deep tiny wet bar sinks, but it was sufficient despite having to run the water forever to get hot. It was on this tiny little counter peninsula that was so awkward it made you scratch your head in wonder. 10.)The microwave is super old and useless and you have to nuke everything for 5 minutes to even get the chill off. 11.)The stupid little mini fridge is REALLY HORRIBLE! I lost a small container of milk and some perishable chicken that we were going to have for lunch and at least one dinner. I always check to make sure it's on and it was because the freezer portion was nice and frosty and cold. I checked it again before I went to bed and it was chilled. I'm assuming some time in the middle of the night it stopped? Because when I woke up nothing was very cold at all. YES... it was on. I even turned it off and back on to make sure it was working properly and I understood how the knob worked. Yes it was on. Very disappointing. If we had been staying longer than 2 days I'd have let them know. If I ever stay here again(doubtful) we will bring our own cooler. Each "room" of the suite (there were 2) had big glass patio sliding doors. Nice until you realize you have to wrangle the dusty moth eaten nasty drapes (two layers) to unhook the bar and pin to unlock the door to be able to slide it open. There were so many cobwebs and dust bunnies and gross egg sacs up in the cubbies where the drape/sheers are hung. So gross. If there had been a split in the drapes it would have less inconvenient, but no... you have to slide them both back alllllll the way. Gross and dusty and cobwebs galore. Not all people who travel with their pets are dirty disgusting people and I realize there's a lot of variables involved when renting to people with pets. I wouldn't know by staying here in these suites. Breakfast- the food is very meh... the wait staff was probably the only truly positive aspect of the whole stay. Since my milk got ruined in the defective fridge I asked for a glass of milk and they did so without issue. The long haired old lady troll at the front desk was not helpful at all and acted like I bothered her when I asked a question . So yeah. Take it for what it's worth. It's set on beautiful grounds. You can't see the water anymore because it's so grown up. If you traverse the ground with your dog be aware of steaming piles, condom wrappers, and beer cans filling up the pet waste stations.

I am SUPER picky about staying in hotels having cleaned them in my youth and even more so since COVID. This hotel passed all my tests for cleanliness, organization, ammenities, and helpful staff. The Hilton Honors app made our check in/out a breeze. Highly recommend!

This hotel is centrally located close to the downtown area. My room overlooked a park that was unfortunately filled with the homeless. The downtown area was also filled with wandering homeless. My room itself was outdated but it was clean and well maintained. My king size bed was very comfortable with comfortable and soft bedding. The TV had many channels. The room had a microwave and mini fridge. The only negative was that there was not a radio or alarm; no paper or pens for the desk; no guide to the City itself plus the balcony Windows were slightly. Lots of free parking. The breakfast buffet was free and nourishing. Staff was helpful was nice

The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There is blood on the walls. The ottoman in living room is torn up. The curtains are filthy. Half the rooms in the building are tented and are being gutted. The website advertises having electric vehicle charging and the front desk informed us there isn’t charging and that they need to update the website. On top of that parking costs $10 a day which is a joke. I am just getting back into staying with Hilton and this is leaving a really bad impression. Tried to use the online chat feature on Hilton.com to voice concerns and was told they can’t do anything since I was already checked in. You can’t take feedback on a property after some is checked in? What a joke. I have a lot of travel booked with Hilton this year, but I might need to start going back to Marriott after this.

We planned to visit our daughter over Thanksgiving 2021. She highly recommended The Swantown Inn & Spa! We are so delighted that she did! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner, Nathan. He was quite warm and we loved his Aussie accent. He personally show us to The Percival room. What a lovely room; cozy, with charming bed, comforter, great large windows and a private bath. After a long day of flying and visiting we just wanted to sink into bed. The sheets were amazing!!! They just enveloped us in warm soft hug!! The breakfast was absolutely gourmet with a scone, then a sorbet followed by the main course. We stayed four nights with me hurrying to get up in the morning just for breakfast! Each day was different. I could not pick a favorite because each was so different, however the Banana Foster Croissant was amazing!!! Casey is an amazing chef! We had wonderful conversations at breakfast with the owners. This place is nothing short of amazing and we can't wait to come back! We strongly recommend The Swantown Inn and Spa to everyone visiting Olympia!

The good news about the hotel is that our room was clean and spacious, but not huge, the hotel was quiet, the laundry room was larger and adequately equipped, and the hotel was conveniently located for our purposes. Covid restrictions were being observed during our stay. The buffet breakfast was replaced by a "bagged meal" to be eaten in the room, that consisted of a bagel, dry or instant hot-cereal, perhaps flavored yogurt, a small orange juice and coffee from the urn in the reception area. Housekeeping services were not provided. Used towels could be exchanged - except with great difficulty - because the instructions provided by the front desk didn't match the reality. Towels left outside our room on Saturday morning were still there on Sunday when we checked out. Indeed, a bag of garbage left outside the room across the hall on Saturday morning had not been picked up by the time we departed. While the laundry room was spacious and well equipped, the explicit instructions from the front desk to use coins, rather than credit cards, created unnecessary problems that we solved (with assistance from the management) using a credit card. Moreover, the front desk personnel were "recommending" a restaurant that was rated 177 out of 279 establishments in Olympia. We, with great satisfaction, enjoyed two delicious dinners at the number one and number three Trip Advisor ranked restaurants. The room design has some fundamental shortcomings. Only the middle section of the closet was easily accessible, and the coat hanger rod was unreachable. The refrigerator door opened from the wrong side making it cumbersome to access while preparing food - our breakfast supplement. Finally, my pre-arranged telephone call to the General Manager to discuss my stay has yet to be returned.

The Marie Bed and Breakfast is a Victorian themed hideaway in the heart of West Olympia. Built in 1892, it is one of the finest examples of Queen Anne architecture in town. The Marie features two private suites in the main house and two free standing cottage across the courtyard. All rooms are uniquely decorated and offer private bathrooms, organic linens, locally made soaps and more. ADA accessible accommodations are available. Fresh breakfasts are prepared each morning. Conveniently located near shopping and restaurants, The Marie Bed and Breakfast is an experience not to be missed.
I spent 2 wonderful nights at the Marie B & B. Thanks so much to GM Emily for paying attention to all of the details including a beautiful bedroom filled with period furnishings, a very comfortable bed with a private bathroom, including a lovely stall shower and a separate claw foot tub (including locally made soaps). I recommend the Walnut suite for singles or couples. My cross country flight arrived several hours before the check in time; I really appreciated Emily's willingness to let me drop my bags off and check in early. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. I am looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Olympia.
