A bit difficult to find - ignore sat nav and use google maps but it's well worth it - I'm not a great fish eater but the swordfish was excellent. Restaurant is clean, has great views, staff are friendly and the menu is extensive. Went there late in the evening so the views were mainly by moonlight - romantic

A cool overcast April day, so how better to pass the time than by lunching at La Soqueta? The occasion: the birthdays of my wife and myself. The company: the two of us plus my mother. The welcome was warm, we were eased to our table (comfortably distant from other diners), and we were left to pick our way through a wide ranging menu which majored on the Valencian rice staples but also included a wide range of meats, seafood, salads and tapas.
We styled on grilled sea bass, ossobuco, and roast lamb. All expertly done and delicious although those expecting more vegetable accompaniment than beautifully cooked chips would have been disappointed.
Although comfortably full, we could not resist desserts; two of us shared a selection of puddings while the third demolished a delicious apple tart.
With water, bread, tea, coffees and a bottle of excellent local wine (Trilogie), the bill was just under €130. Not cheap for this area but excellent value, not just gor the wuality of the food but also the warmth and professionalism of all the staff. Highly recommended.

A very well laid out cafe, plush and comfortable with friendly staff. We ended up here at some point most days during our annual 2 weeks in Oliva. Excellent coffee, good choice of sandwiches and patisserie fare. Fresh fruit tart a firm favourite.

So delighted that we booked this beautiful restaurant on the beach - really surprised by the negative reviews below!
My husband and our friend loved the paella mixta which was pre-ordered, and my son and I were blown away by the Solomillo - sirloin of Galician Blonde cattle. Truly the best beef I have had in a very long time, perfection. The setting is simply wonderful - we were here for twilight and after dark. The wine list is also very comprehensive and we enjoyed a bottle of Pruno from Finca Villacreces in Ribera Del Duero which we have visited in the past. And yes, we were given the opportunity to taste the wine.
The atmosphere is very relaxed which is very pleasant. I really recommend this restaurant and don't understand the problems other people have reported.

Restaurant with Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, pizzas, pastas, meats, fish, salads, hamburgers, entrees and all kinds of rices on request, great wine cellar, dessert menu, drinks coktails and gintonics. Service attentive and careful.
We have recently bought a holiday home in Oliva, so have visited this restaurant a number of times in the last year. Always been 100% satisfied with the food, ambience and staff.
Food is plentiful, tasty and well priced, with a great variety of options.
Staff are all so friendly and decorate your dessert plates - recommend the chocolate couland!
We will of course be returning as much as possible. Thanks!

Open daily for lunch.Cocina creativa y de mercado elaborada con los mejores productos frescos por la experimentada mano del chef Juan Ramón Fuster./Arroces por encargo
Paella mariscos last Sunday. Today dishes from the 'menu del dia' . Served by Martha - cooked by her husband. Duck legs, well cooked and tasty, bacalao flaky and well seasoned. We have never had anything but the best here. This is the best restaurant in Oliva - and we happily travel from France to eat here.

This remains our favourite bar in Oliva. We are always made welcome by Fran the owner and his staff. Very relaxing and chilled atmosphere with modern decor.in the downstairs bar.
Whilst you are welcome just to have a drink there is a lovely upstairs restaurant that serves great freshly prepared food.
There are only 5-6 restaurants that we frequent in Oliva and this is one of them. I remain bemused that there are higher rated restaurants on TripAdvisor that are far inferior to Ca Fran that in my view are no more than cafes.
