I am a regular client of A Cepa & I can genuinely recommend it. The staff are very helpfull, polite & provide an excellent service, especially Luis. The restaurant has been restored to a high standard & it also has a good ambience. It has a variety of local galician dishes of excellent quality & freshness. I recommend the chipirones, zorza & salpicon.

I come here often and find this to be one of my favorite restaurants. Great seafood at very reasonable prices in a nice setting and with good service.

Amazing restaurant,
Food was incredible fresh and nicely presented. Service was excellent and the value overall is difficult to find.
We had three appetizers, three entrees, a bottle of a very good Albariño + 2 x extra glasses and dessert for total euro 139,00. witch is the same price we pay at home for two orders of meatballs, kale salad, one large pizza and a bottle of wine.
If you are planing to visit A' Coruña you can't miss this restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended.

I have been quite afew times to El Refugio.
Although they are famous for their roastbeef, I would not try if coming from the UK.
Instead, i would let Alfredo recommend me and for sure you will be happy as long as you are able or ready to pay some 50/60€ per head.
The wine list is extensive and there you can find most of the best wines in Spain.
Seafood is also very good, but pricewise, be careful...
Indeed, El Refugio is a good place to choose.
Alfredo holds there a quite unique paintings collection,
Parking (15 cars or so) available.

No falla, apuesta segura.

if you want to experience a real Jamoneria, this is the place to try if you are in Coruna. The restaurant and bar is owned by Murci and his lovely wife Carmen, who although they do not speak any English, go out of their way to make you welcome. The food is cooked to order by Murci, and fish, seafood and HUGE beef ribs are order of the day. The restaurant is small but cosy, there is also an outside area to sit and eat. This place is widely used by local people so can also be quite lively at times.
