We stayed here for work so didn’t know we were coming here until 2 hours before check-in and I don’t think I’ve ever called the office to complain quick enough. The outside was bad, the inside was bad, the bedrooms were bad, the bathrooms were bad. The hallways were bad, the decor was bad, the shower only worked if you were 4ft tall so that was bad. The general atmosphere was cold and damp with an undertone of cannabis -homely indeed. Our rooms didn’t have natural daylight, the windows opened onto an indoor room with some lights and a piece of plastic grass? It looked more like a dogging hotspot than a garden. Oh and, all night long we were serenaded by the 360 degree sounds of bed frames creaking and caressing the walls. Not to mention the moaning. GOD, the moaning! Though it might have been a tape recording to distract us from the painful decor around us. The towels were very soft though, I’ll give them that. In short, if you’re not staying here for some rumpy pumpy or a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Birchley Island roundabout (just off the M5 in Oldbury) ….then god help you.

Oldbury is the perfect place to explore the jewels of the Midlands like the Black Country Living Museum or Dudley Castle Zoo. See how our ancestors lived at the Black Country Museum, or how chocolate is made at Cadbury World. Attend a convention at Bethnel Centre or a match at West Brom. Our friendly team will help you enjoy your stay to the full. After a day of exploring, return for a lovely meal in our new Cookhouse and Pub restaurant just next door. Then head back to our spacious rooms and extra-comfy beds to ensure you wake up refreshed and ready for another day on the go.
The hotel was in a good location. Close to restaurant and take away. Quiet even though close to a busy road. Didn't have to travel far to places like Black Country Museum and Cosford air museum. Good value too.

Unbelievably the condition of the fire doors was shocking. Poorly operating doors with gaps so big you could fit a hand under them (staircase to fire exit). 2nd floor was an eye opening to how these big firms don't follow inspection routines. On duty manager was clueless and still I've had no response from him or head office after I emailed them. Coat hooks in the room were hanging out the wall, the cupboard was bodged back together, the bathroom floor had broken tiles, the toilet seat was loose. Limited choice for breakfast, what was out was soggy and looked like it had been reheated from previous day. Good location, large carpark, decent price.

Staff friendly and very helpful especially on arrival, room comfy, clean, and aired. Dog friendly with a lovely walking area out the back within easy access. We were able to enjoy an evening meal just two minutes walk from travelodge. We have stayed at Oldbury travelodge on several occasions over the years and never had any cause for complaint, and have enjoyed our stay there.

Located 5 mins from Jct 2 M5, stunningly decorated & newly built in '08, 81 rooms all en-suite, chic restaurant, free WiFi, lift.
There are some poor reviews for this venue, but my experience was very different. Room was clean and everything worked fine. 3 nights stay, no issues. Yes, there was a mismatch of furniture, but didn’t affect my stay. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. I ate there in the evening and had the buffet breakfast each morning. The food is adequate, nothing special and portions are good. The only issue I had is beyond the hotel’s control. It can be difficult to leave the car park during the rush hour on the Wolverhampton Rd. I would use again.
