I have the chicken nachos and shared my cousins sampler platter. The free queso is a nice touch. As is the free sopapillas. Excellent service makes this one of my favorite places in Oklahoma City!

Abuelo's

I normally am critical of Tex Mex as not being Mexican enough. Abuelo‘s is an exception. I sat at the bar and the bar tender and locals helped me pick pout my dinner. The enchiladas were great....as were the mashed potatoes. Not a great selection of tequila but a couple of good ones. Highly recommend. Chips and three salsas were very good also.

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made

The chips and salsa was good. They had a special lunch and dinner menu for OKC Restaurant week. I got queso dip, one beef taco, and one enchilada with mushroom and spinach. The Enchilada was very small. It was a fixed menu. $11.99 with a drink. A bit pricey for lunch/Mexican. I think there was a misunderstanding with my waitress. She said she thought the meal came with two enchiladas, I originally asked for the Chicken, which I would have preferred. After she said it came with two I said I would try the mushroom and spinach for the second one. Well the dish only came with one enchilada and they gave me the mushroom and spinach. It was ok but I would personally not order it again. I drank 1/2 sweet ice tea with 1/2 unsweetened tea. Waitress gave me a refill in a to go cup and shortly after she put it on my table I noticed a puddle on table. Must have had a hole in Styrofoam ? Luckily she had given me extra napkins. Inside looked clean. I did not use bathroom.

Our friends in OKC recommended this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The margaritas were tasty, complimentary chips and white cheese dip quite unique, and the complimentary sopapilla dessert over-the-top. Of course, the cheese enchilada entrees (our go-to) were excellent.Although our waiter was somewhat hard to understand with his thick Spanish accent, he was very diligent and friendly.

Los Vaqueros

The staff was very friendly and helpful with our food choices. I had ordered chili relleno without cheese. The waiter came back and told me they were already made with cheese and this order wasn't possible. He said many of their food items were premade. So, I ordered tamales without cheese sauce. These were ok--just like frozen ones in the store, but more expensive. Refried beans and rice were edible--but not that great. My friends liked their food, enchiladas. Therefore, this place isn't on my "favorite list" because of food allergy.

Casa Juanito

This place doesn't give complementary cheese dip. They do serve free salsa and chips. In return for no complementary cheese dip, you get cheaper food. They have a cafe-like line you can select food from or sit down and order from a menu. I had the small portion of beef / chicken combo fajitas for $10.95. The fajitas came with queso dip, pico de gallo, and guacamole. The fajitas were very good. Both meats were very tender and had a hint of sweetness. The beef reminded me of Asian flavors, probably because of the sweetness. The guacamole and pico de gallo were really good. The queso was just okay. My daughter order chicken fajita quesadillas that were very good and $7.05. The refried beans were very good too. Glad we stopped here!
