Just about every Uber driver we talked to recommended this place. The restaurant was only a five minute walk from our hotel. So we decided to try it out on our final night in OKC. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and led to our table almost immediately. We preferred an inside table because it was quite hot outside. We could not help but notice that the entire décor attempts to invoke a New Orleans theme that felt a little out of place here. The Food and Drink Menus were large, but we stayed with the tried and tested â Alligator Bites, Popcorn Shrimp, Gumbo, Black Magic Catfish and Fried Catfish accompanied by Chardonnay and Perfect Margaritas. It was a little too much food, but, unfortunately we could not carry any back to reheat since we were leaving the next morning. The ambiance is casual and friendly, and the food and service are good, but not extra-ordinary.Glad we had the chance to stop in, at least once.

Been going to this location for over 10 years. Service was good. Sides still good. Steaks have changed. I think they are pre-cooking the steaks. I mean cooking the steaks then finishing at order to improve the throughput of orders. Quality isnât the same. Not even close. I ordered med steak. It was well. My wifeâs too was ordered med but came closer to rare. It was a tough and gristle filled piece of meat. They replaced the steak once they figured it out. Iâm just not liking the shortcuts Iâm seeing. Oh well. Peanuts and beer will only carry a steak place so far.Time will tell.

Thought I might enjoy a good steak, but not to be. I ordered an 8 oz sirloin cooked medium which should have been easy. What I got was an 8 oz steak but it was way over on the medium well side and very dry. The veggie skewer was good and the salad was dry, but otherwise the service was good.We appreciate you taking the time to review your experience. This impromptu gathering was a luncheon that was given to us by our Vice President. He was appreciative of our hard work and bought us lunch. Mickey Mantle's is a classic steakhouse with a contemporary American flair in both menu and design. Our dramatic 10,000 square foot restaurant dazzles with a compelling chef-driven menu. We offer an extensive wine list with over 500 quality selections foc
Bottom line is the food is great. For my visit I sat at the bar which has a full menu. Service was great as expected due to a limited number of guests present. The restaurant had what I thought may have been a cigar type scent to it, however I did. It see anyone smoking inside and did not have any idea that the smell was actually cigar. It is possible that it is just the odor of the location. Not an issue, but you should be aware.I did believe the wine was a little over priced. Overall, still highly recommended. Thanks for the feedback! We are glad you enjoyed the food and service! Our bar is actually a cigar bar, so that is the scent you picked up. There aren't always guests smoking, but it is an option. Our dining room, however, is non-smoking and has a different ventilation system if you'd prefer that during your next visit.

Red Prime Steak brings Dry-Aged beef to Oklahoma. Red Prime Steak specializes in Prime Midwestern beef, Kobe beef and Buffalo, which underscores Oklahoma's proud Indian roots. Only the boldest rubs and spices are used to enhance the flavor of the steaks.
As a solo female traveler staying at the Hilton downtown, I was looking for a great steak safe and withing walking distance of my hotel. Red PrimeSteak was a great choice. I had a reservation which I would recommend. Service was quick and attentive, there was no squirmyness or trying-to-hide the solo diner which I appreciated, and the ambiance was interesting -- red lighting. I enjoyed the variety of crusts and sauces which could be added to the various cuts of steak. I'd like to return just to try more! The flash-fried spinach, though, was my favorite -- salty and paper-thin crunchiness. Yum!
