The population was 18,363 at the 2010 census, a 3.4 percent increase from 17,783 at the 2000 census, making it the largest city in the former Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, followed by Durant. The town gets its name from J.J. McAlester, an early white settler and businessman, who later became Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma. McAlester married Rebecca Burney, daughter of a full-blood Chickasaw family, which made him a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation.

I don't know how long it was from the time it came out of the oven until it was delivered, I wasn't impressed. It took over an hr. for me to get it. I realize it is New Year's eve.

We were staying at the nearby hotel so we just walked down the hill. I had the mini meatball pasta. The meatballs were frozen processed little nuggets. The pasta with the sauce was ok but it was a bit rubbery as though it had been microwaved. Another had the wings and salad bar. The salad was the best part of the meal. Although there were only 3 tables waiting the service was very slow. I did see a pizza that went by our table and it looked much better than our order.

Usually Lil Caesars pizza is one of the best in the business. I love the butter crust and the quickness of pizza they have available. I did have one bad experience. Got a 3 meat which is my favorite and they always give me some cookies when I say "pizza pizzia". I got a pizzia that had some spoiled cheese and wasn't very as good as usual. I live about 35 miles away or would have taken it back I'm sure the staff would have done something about it. But decided to finish it off as me and my friend had been driving and had tire problems and exhausted. OMG A BIG CHUNK OF METAL IN THE PIZZIA BROKE MY FRONT TOOTH. NOW I LOOK LIKE A JACK-O-LANTERN. HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO THE MANAGEMENT TO NO AVAIL. PENDING

We went through the drive thru. The service was fast, the pizza cheap and very good. I mean if I had this pizza place by me I would never go to any other pizza place. We actually had a second one delivered to our hotel.

The place was completely empty. We were told to sit any where we liked. Our order was taken in a timely manner. Food was served very quickly. The pizzas where very good for thin crust but not excellent.

I've been three times and can't get past the Carbonara even though everything else looks amazing. I've eaten Carbonara in New Orleans, NYC, and San Francisco and not one of them can touch this little restaurant's. Keep up the good work, guys.
