ATMOSPHERE - Country dog themed with a lot of cute dog pictures. Restaurant and restrooms were clean and tables were not too close together. Has an attached store for purchasing souvenirs... $$$SERVICE - I have seen some reviews reporting less than stellar service, but we had no problems. Staff was friendly and attended our needs without being annoying.FOOD - We had fried catfish and chicken fried steak. The fish was crisp with a somewhat heavy crust and hushpuppies were big and sweet. Thoughts of Jiffy Mix popped into my head. Potato salad was very good and needs just a bit more seasoning. CFS was awesome and served with the best gravy I ever had at any restaurant. It actually made me think homemade in the iron skillet the steaks cooked in. Good biscuits.. not the best. I think the dough was overworked... a tad tough and heavy. All in all - I would eat there again if it werent for the 150 mile round trip. You should go and try it at least once. Bonus.. there is a cute, western girl shop just a few doors down.

Greeted by some woman with an attitude paid 12.00 a piece for dinner. The food was what I call old people food. no taste no character..the "catfish" tasted like carp, beautiful brisket but just bare meat no rub no sauce..same with the ribs..I never ate fried chicken patties that had no taste..it was like eating nothing..no pepper no salt..tastes like frozen food..nothing fresh..potato salad the potatoes were even hard..Great cole slaw..never saw the cobbler..and they had bluebell ice cream..Won't ever go back..thank you very much..

We were staying at The Lafysmith and we ventured down Main Street into the Rockin Ribs. Nice family restaurant. We met the owner. I think his wife cooks also. We ordered the stuff potatoes, sandwich and onion rings. Nice portion. Couid not finish. I read a review that said they had slow service. Perhaps they were short staffed that day. We did not have a problem. Our waiter was polite and conscientious. We need to learn patience these days. Not everything is automatic. I would recommend.
