The Wagyu beef from the Yanbaru region is excellent and they prepare it well in this restaurant. Of course it is somewhat expensive, on average 2800 yen for 150 gram, but certainly worth it. The Agu pork T-bone was also good and a bit less pricy. We also had the Wagyu beef, chicken and Agu pork sushi that was very good. It is recommended to take some side dishes. We had the garlic rice and grilled Cesar salad that goes well with the beef dishes. A plus points are the good service and a large drink menu, including various mixtures of plum wine ( daringly we took as dessert the Habu snake liquor, and we were surprised it tasted very good).

This teppenyaki restaurant situated in one of Okinawa's finest hotels is a great place to dine if you wish to taste Okinawa beef on the island in an upscale restaurant. Note that Okinawa island has plenty of teppenyaki restaurants catering to US military soldiers. All use American beef which can be bought at any local grocery store for less than $10 for the portion you'll be served. This fine restaurant caters to Japanese tourists. Your chef will not dance around like a samurai while preparing the various Japanese courses that are served prior and following the fine Okinawa beef. The restaurant is small so reserve ahead of time. Wine: There is a very limited wine list. I inquired with the hotel front desk regarding bringing my own bottle and was told that it was hotel policy that customers purchase wine from the restaurant. Never to be deterred and knowing something about Japanese culture I visited the restaurant an hour ahead of my reservation and asked to see the wine list. I then politely expressed my disappointment at the list and asked if I could bring my own bottle that I had bought in Naha (There is a nice wine shop in Naha). The restaurant manager asked if a corkage fee of 3,000 yen ($36) was acceptable and I agreed.March 2012
