Thought there wouldn't be good specialty restaurants on major shopping streets, but I was wrong.The soba (Okinawa Soba, which is different from other Soba of Japan) is so tender and chewy, and the broth is so tasteful.The restaurant isn't facing the main street so it's a little bit hard to find. Just remember it's in the alley, so make a turn and it's about 30 feet down.

Skipped the downtown shop due to the crazy queue. Grabbed a few of the onigiris for brekkie in the domestic terminal before our flight home. The mentaiko & Ebi version tasted heavenly. Warmed us up instantly on a chilly winter morning. Simple yet comforting Okinawan rice ‘sandwich’. Must try when you visit Okinawa. Should another shop in the International Terminal.

We had dinner twice in this charming and genuine okinawan restaurant. The owners were so nice with us and the dishes were all just delicious. We had awesome advocado tempuras, sashimi fresh and tasty and a unique Soba soup. Prices are reasonable according to the quality and the good moments we spent. We recommend highly this small restaurant for the warm welcome and for the dishes.

(English review below)小禄からの赤嶺にかけては美味しいそば屋さん集まっているのですが、その中でも味の上品さではここが一番です!澄んだかつおだしに豚骨の旨味が合わさり玄妙な味を作り上げていますこれだけ澄んだスープで深い味わいを出している店は私は他に知りませんもちろん看板の木灰で打った沖縄そばも適度なコシがあって美味しいですこのコシは他では味わえない美味しさソーキも良く煮込んであって味が染みてるのとちょっと軟骨がついてて最高です注目すべきは器!!人間国宝の金城次郎先生の作風を継いだ作家さんの実に良い読谷山焼の器を使っています興味を持たれたら読谷のやちむんの里へ行かれることをオススメします車でのアクセスは駐車場が小さくわかりづらいので、初めての方は目の前の有料駐車場に停められるのをオススメします。100円/30分です。大きな座敷もあるので子供連れの方にもオススメしますよMost sophisticated Soba in this area!Clear dried bonito and pork born soup makes a good fusion.Noodle mixed by wood ash water makes al dente. Spareribs are well simmered and so soft.Don't forget check the bowls and dishes! They use a very good traditional Yomitan-San Yaki bowls and dishes succeeded the traditions of Jiro Kinjo, the best potter prized as living national heritage of Okinawaif you come to interested in, recommend to visit "Yachimun No Sato" at Yomitan.Access is walk 7-10min from either OROKU or AKAMINE station.If you drive, better to use parking in front of a shop because their parking is difficult to find and small.The price of the parking is 100yen/30 min

Recommended by friends, it came here for first meal of my day upon arrival in Okinawa. There was a short queue but it was alright. Love the taste of the black roasted garlic ramen and the tea served at side was nice too. Initially I was not familiar with how to order as it has been some time since I am in Japan. Nevertheless, the staff was helpful and guided me through actions and got me my ramen!

Super friendly owner with 390 yen recommended Okinawa soba!The pork was absolutely tasty, the soup is different with traditional Tokyo ramen, it is more clear and light taste...The shop located in a very hidden street, you need to spend some time to find it, also it is very small and traditional Japanese style dinner, with tatami seat.

We had such a great experience at Yunangi. We were lucky that we arrived at around 6.30pm on a Saturday night, and only had to wait about 10 mins before being seated. We were given one of the tables on the raised floor which was fun. Whilst waiting we had ordered and so food started to arrive soon after we had been seated.We got a few dishes to share and all were excellent. The miso pork was very good with a real depth of flavour and succulent meat. We also had a lovely tofu dish with mwat, which was my favourite, and a few other stir fried dishes which were equally good.By the time we were finishing our meal, the queue was out the door which showed how popular the place is. We were really pleased with our meal and so happy to have tried some fantastic Okinawan cuisine.
