If it swims, crawls or hops we probably serve it.
The shrimp, crab & corn cowder were very good. The farm raised catfish sandwich had little taste. I ordered it with the crawfish sauce that it's normally topped with on the side and I'm glad as that was nasty at best. Topping the sandwich with green & half ripe red tomates didn t help it any.
$40 with tip for a sub-par lunch. Not again.

Serenity is my favorite coffee shop. I would go here every day if my schedule allowed. Their house coffee is delicious, but I usually opt for a caramel macchiato, or Serenity mocha. There are always delicious , fresh baked goods available as well as sausage gravy and biscuits. Many of the baked goods have won awards in the local county fair!

We are a cafe which prides itself on fresh, quality offerings such as sandwiches (our Chicken Salad has become our signature), and a variety of quiche, salads and soups. In addition, we use organic coffee beans from the Dominican Republic to brew coffee and make espresso, lattes and frozen lattes. We carry a full line of handmade gourmet chocolates and 12 hand-dipped ice cream flavors and other sweets to tempt you. We welcome you to stop in and relax a while~ we have TV and free WiFi.
This place has it all! It's a great space filled with tables/chairs as well as a cozy couch in front of a TV. Whether you're in the mood for a beverage, dessert, or lunch, you're covered. The staff is always very friendly, I've never had a bad experience here and I've been coming for years. All of their chocolate is delicious (my favorite is the coconut haystacks). They also have ice cream for hot summer days! Their sweet tea is some of my favorite in town, and I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I love their iced lattes, especially because they can customize it with more syrup and soy milk. The food is also delicious--I'm obsessed with their chicken salad sandwich! Their hours are pretty good, too, so do whatever you can to not miss this cute little spot!

Nutmeg's a a unique cafe with a variety of sandwiches and salads. Everyday we offer a different selection of homemade quiches, soups, desserts and 8 flavors of gourmet "Working Cow Homemade Ice Cream. We are open Monday - Friday 10:30 am-6pm & Saturday & Sunday 11am to 3pm. We are available for private bridal showers, baby showers and birthday parties during our off hours. Along with our baked goods that we do for the cafe we also are well known for our specialty cupcakes and cakeballs as well.
A colleague and myself stopped into Nutmeg's for lunch. I ordered the mousetrap panini which was good. I wasn't impressed by the coleslaw though. The food came quickly and the drinks are self-serve. The atmosphere was very poor though. They were playing filthy music with sexual lyrics and innuendos. That really killed my appetite.

Arrived about 1115 on Sun. First ones there. Sat, ordered, you could hear it cooking and in about 8 minutes the meal was in front of my. Simple lunch order of fish and chips and fish sandwich. Both were hot and very tasty. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. The outside seating area looked great, just needed about 5 more degrees before it would have been comfortable.

We moved to Okeechobee in July 2017, and have been making the restaurant rounds. As two vegetarians living in cattle country, eating out can be challenging. Parrot Island accommodated us nicely, and said that they could modify other dishes as well. Nice abbiance, roomy covered bar area...check it out...

The watermelon is to die for, you must visit. They need to work on a better atmosphere for dining in, but we just sit in the car.

Total surprise in Okeechobee! Loads of Lear Jets, helicopters and planes of all sizes. Enjoyed watching take offs & landings.
Eggs Benedict were tasty. Grilled biscuits & grits also good. Omelets looked amazing.
Staff was super friendly and the restaurant very clean. Prices are great for the portions.

We weren't surprised by the full parking lot or having to wait for a table, What was surprising was the length of time it took for our order to be served. (Maybe the cook wanted sign outside should have been a tipoff) Parts of our meals ranged from really good to not so much. My wife's chicken sandwich was tasty and simple, although not very large. My grouper fingers were tasty but overcooked. The onion rings seemed to be the frozen, from the commissary; type. The cole slaw was fabulous, as was the cocktail sauce, once I got some that wasn't frozen. Service was friendly, prompt and, when necessary, apologetic. And the Arnold Palmer (tea and lemonade) was one of the best I ever had.

Having grown up in Arizona, I have been eating Mexican food my entire life, and it is, by far, my favorite food. That said, this place doesn’t even come close to serving tasty, authentic Mexican food. My wife and I were in the area and looking for a good Mexican lunch. The service was very friendly, but the kitchen was slow. The chips were decent but the salsa, both the mild and the spicy, was watery and not very tasty at all (and not very spicy). I had a shredded beef burrito that could have been served at any restaurant anywhere (even a non-Mexican restaurant). My wife had the tacos which she said were bland. All in all, I wish I had gone to Taco Bell. I Just cannot see how it has received the good reviews it has on Trip Advisor.
