Things to do in Kent
We are thrilled to welcome Pacific East to Kent! It offers a wonderful mix of dishes from Malaysia, Japan and many other exotic places. For our first visit I stuck to the appetizers. I enjoyed three and while the goyzas were my least favorite, the others were spectacular!! We'll definitely be back to try more dishes!!
This restaurant is not your typical American Chinese fare. The outside of the building is nothing extraordinary, and sometimes looks as though the place isn't even open, but step through the door and you'll enjoy some of the best tasting Asian food in the area. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and well appointed. The menu has many different items offered, such as braised pork belly, duck, and many vegetarian dishes. I enjoyed the Pad Thai which was extremely flavorful and not like any I've had elsewhere. We tried the steamed dumplings - oh so good, the wrappers were thin and light and the sauce delicious, could have used more filling. The sauces used on everything were so tasty and well spiced that you might be tempted to lick the plate. The dinner prices seemed a bit high but the lunch prices are very reasonable. We were told that they are planning to make a family style dinner available soon which will be a little more affordable. We will definitely be going back to try the 'Three Cup Chicken' dish and possibly one of the fish dishes. I encourage you to try Yummy Garden Restaurant when you're in the area. You might be pleasantly surprised.Skip the dessert - refrigerated and seemed purchased from wholesaler.

We have stopped there a couple of times while passing through Stow. (Note that there is another Thai restaurant, "Bangkok Thai" just on the far side of this Darrow Road - Graham Road intersection; I have not yet tried that one.) Food at Thai Gourmet is standard American Thai fare, with a nice emphasis on spicy Thai basil in some dishes. The chicken dish, similar to General Tso's Chicken, was quite good. The veggie stir fry just average. In general, quality was good, prices very reasonable. Service amazingly fast when you come for early dinner (around 6 p.m.) At that hour, not busy on a weekday. We like it.

I had been eating at Evergreen from 2001 till 2007 and it was my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Ken-Stow-Hudson-Akron.I just came back (2015) for a visit and it is as good as the first time. The only downside of the restaurant is the fishy smell because the crab-legs.

We went in at 8:30pm on a Saturday. The waiter explained the menu, prepared us some sauce, and explained the ceramic burners. I've heard of hot pot from my Chinese friends, but I had never tried it myself. It was an unexpected experience for rural Ohio. I highly recommend it.

Our son and his wife treated us to this relatively new Japanese sushi and steak restaurant. We are not sushi fans but had a couple of vegetarian sushi appetizers. They were good. The coconut shrimp appetizer was excellent. I had Orange Chicken which was very good. My wife had coconut shrimp dinner, which was not fried like the appetizer but served in a white sauce. The other dishes were also rated as well prepared and good.

This restaurant is only a mile from our home, so we tried it when it initially opened. Then, we thought it was the same or perhaps not as good as other Thai restaurants in the area. However, we recently revisited (because of convenience), and were pleasantly surprised to see an expanded, revised and improved menu. Most of that improvement seems to be in the form of small plate or appetizer dishes. The pad thai is just the same (ordinary vegetables, bland, overdone meat and heavy noodles), but we found some alternatives. The soups seem improved and we found two small plates that were especially appetizing. Their treatment of mussels was excellent (but, be advised,it is a bit expensive). Another offering was a shrimp preparation that was the equivalent of crab rangoon - in pastry with cream cheese. So, we're pleased to see that the management has improved their offerings and we will happily pay a return visit.

we offer Chinese, Hibachi, and sushi in the beautiful city of Stow.
Great food! We enjoy their sushi regularly and just started ordering other items. Food seems to always be fresh. I like that they do not go crazy with sauces and let the flavors speak for themselves. Vegetable teriyaki has a nice variety of vegetables. Family feels that their fried rice is the best in town. Good lo mein and other entrees as well. We have only been for lunch a few times, but I feel that I have to share⦠they have some very impressive lunch specials that allow you to try multiple items for a reduced price. You just canât beat it!

We had an excellent family lunch here with everyone choosing a different dish and then sharing family style. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We had managed to save room for a sampling of their dessert offerings, and we weren't disappointed! We will definitely return to Wild Papaya.
