Tipp City is a city in Miami County, Ohio, United States just outside Dayton. The population was 9,689 at the 2010 census. Formerly known as Tippecanoe, and then Tippecanoe City, this town was renamed to Tipp City in 1938 because another town in Ohio was likewise named Tippecanoe. The city lies in the Miami Valley and sits along Interstate 75 near the Interstate 70 interchange.

This Bob Evans has slowly went down hill from when we first started eating there. The food has been getting worse here lately. Management doesn't seem to have control or of cooks when it comes to quality of dishes being prepared. We have been disappointed the past few times we have went back. Managers on duty usually use the excuse is that they have new cooks or are short on cooks. Haven't seen any new improvements since new owners took over Bob Evans Restaurants.

Cashier acted like she did not know how to repair a problem that kept us from receiving a 5 dollar off coupon. The other restaurant said it should have been able to be done. We left without receiving the discount that should have been honored.

Wait staff was very nice. Ordered wings, chicken strips, loaded fries and tacos. Received strips with grease sitting on the plate, looked frozen. Fries were microwaved, greasy, disgusting. Wings werent too bad but the grease that pooled on the plate turned me off. Its like they pulled everything from the fryer and didnt drain anything, just turned it over into a plate. It took 5 paper towels to soak it up. Tacos were bland. We only ate one of the 2. The wing sauce (med) butt warmer was pretty darn good. I ended up puking in the parking lot. It was definately the grease. The place is popular and it seems to be the wings. The hamburgers looked good. I wish we would have ordered differently. Dont go to the bathrooms in the basement......

Great lunch- looking for a place to meet up with some friends. Read some reviews and decided to give it a try. The service was great,took our order promptly and followed us to make sure everything was going okay. I had the greenfire burger and it was very good. Nice variety menu for lunch. Everyone in our group enjoyed the lunch choice.

Small, local eatery with a fairly extensive menu and lots of 1960s charm. Staff was great, very friendly and efficient. I could tell no difference between the service we got as first timers compared to the obvious regular customers. Food was good, my colleague's omelet was huge and I had no compliant with my Reuben sandwich. The home made potato chips were really good. Prices were reasonable. If in the area again, I'd go back.

Quaint restaurant with excellent food. The lunch specials each day are fantastic. The value for quality is difficult to imagine but they pull it off somehow. This is a great place to meet and eat.

Hoping my visit was an exception to the rule. Got the lunch special. Pulled bbq chicken was dry. Bun was dry. At least it was easy to avoid and save calories. Green beans ok, but underseasoned. Mashed potatoes no better than school cafeteria. Soda machines broken so had to resort to iced tea. Stopped drinking when struck by mildew flavor. Sorry, since I really wanted to like this place.Hi Cindy,Iâm so sorry. We will look into the issues with the food. The soda machine went down that morning, and we were waiting on Pepsi to come out and fix it. We apologize, and will address your other concerns with our staff. I truly hope you will try Hickory River again, as we never want to lose a customer. Thank you.

I recently travelled to Ohio to visit family. I always try to fit in a trip to Coldwater Cafe. This trip I hit the jackpot and visited the restaurant three times! I had the salmon salad but subbed out the dressing for the delicious cucumber dill dressing that is so fabulous. Another time I had the steak salad. That was so delicious that I had to go back to have it again! We managed to eat outside on a lovely day, in the vault, and in the dining room. I highly recommend this restaurant. The desserts are also wonderful and creative!
