This little restaurant was packed with a full house that spilled out to the patio. The staff of more than a dozen was synchronized like a well oiled machine feeding the crowd in town for the car show. Excellent omelette and coffeeâI would definitely be a regular if I were a local.

Stayed on our boat on Catawba Island for a week, and Rudders was the first place our friends recommended we try. Itâs not a fine-dining establishment; itâs more of a great coffee-house, great mini-bakery, great deli, great specialty grocery and great gift shop, all rolled into one! A âStarbucks-typeâ brew can be enjoyed, and Iâd recommend any of their bakery selections to go along w/that cup of joe. The deli sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and the sides that were included were also very tasty. I picked up a killer bottle of Bloody Mary mix and then, checked out the gift shop that was filled w/lake-themed merchandise. The inside decor has a relaxed vibe, and the staff was super-friendly, too. I told my friend that I thought Rudders covered most everything I needed while on my mini-vacation. Give them a try; you wonât be disappointed!!! (Was not able to click-on ratings below for service, food & value, but Iâd definitely give them 5 stars across the board!)

Bistro 163 is a non-profit "pay it forward" restaurant, serving fresh locally sourced meals at a reasonable cost with a high quality of service. The mission of Bistro 163 is to increase food security and offer all neighbors a place to eat and come together
My wife and I stopped by today having found Bistro 163 on Yelp. It deserves all the good reviews it's gotten there. The restaurant is a non-profit that will feed people in return for their volunteering at the restaurant. Menu prices are "suggested". Don't let any of this steer you away. The restaurant is well appointed, the service is great, and the food is even better. My wife had the chicken salad plate and I had the Bistro Burger. Both were above average. The restaurant my be a bit difficult to find for out-of-towners. Our Google directions took us to the apartments next door. Bistro 163 is in an old strip mall next to the police station. We'd recommend Bistro 163 to anyone.Thank you, George, for your review! We're glad you found us and enjoyed your lunch...

Enjoyed breakfast two times here, one take-away and one dine-in. Service was excellent both times - orders were correct and prompt. Coffees were good, iced teas were good and the butter croissants were great! Servers are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very clean, has a drive-thru and easy parking. A bit disappointed that some items arrive frozen and are âbaked fresh.â But nonetheless, still a great experience!
