I hear the words "hidden gem" sometimes and wonder, but this place really fits the bill. The house was built in the 1860s in what must have been a really small Minerva Ohio at the time. It went through only 2 families until the current owners bought it about 10 years ago and restored the interior and the grounds, doing a fine job. Very high, maybe 12 foot ceilings on the mail floor, with a fireplace in each room, beautiful crown moldings and probably original wide plank floors. But lets get to the food! We started by sharing a shrimp cocktail with 6 very nice size shrimp and a zesty sauce. My wife then really liked her chicken Florentine with a glass of sauvignon blanc. My Delmonico steak was PERFECT medium rare with a nice glass of red zinfandel for a great match. Prices for food and wines are quite fair for what you get, as our total tab was $71 before tax and tip. Reservations are REQUIRED. They also have a nice bar with dining area upstairs; we are planning to go back and have lunch up there.

We don't get to this part of the state often but when we do, we stop at Grinders. Lulu had the croissant chicken-salad (excellent). I went with the Eastern style hoagie (excellent). The onion rings are outstanding. Quality food and the place is spotless. Parking can be tricky, the parking lot is always full. The giant cow in front adds charm to the place.

Great place to start the day with breakfast. If you prefer places that aren't chains, this is the place. Has full menu, but I was there for breakfast. Had a nice chat at the counter seating with a local, lovely soul that came in for her morning coffee. Absolutely, a great example of rural Americana.

They have great burgers and I can't wait to try their new cheesy bacon fries. It's a gourmet burger for 5 bucks and I live the open flame broiled taste.

It is a combo place with both kfc and a Taco Bell. Place seemed clean and food was good and fresh would eat here again
