We went with another couple who own a restaurant and we all loved it. We asked to eat âfamily styleâ and had multiple apps and entrees delivered to our table, all authentic and delicious. The staff put together a large dessert plate for sharing with a candle for my husbands birthday. Beautiful restaurant with great friendly staff. Plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.

After a long morning at my client site, I was craving a Gyro salad. Turns out The Mad Greek is quite a staple in Whitehall and was pretty darn close to work. The service is fast and friendly, the food is good and the price is right. All in all, a very good place on its category. The gyro salad was enough to feed a hungry man or even one with an over average apetite. It came with pita, peppers, feta, pickled peppers, kalamata olives, lamb, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers.When in Whitehall I always visit the Mad Greek.

Delicious food, massive servings, wallet-friendly prices, quick service, plenty of choices for both meat eaters and vegetarians. What's not to like about this place?OK, so what if the dining room won't win many awards for its charm? I can easily overlook that for the gyro platter ($10.95) overflowing with well-seasoned meat, accompanied by, in my case, a huge, fresh salad and some mighty fine house-made dressing. It easily made for a couple of meals. Sure, a few slices of the excellent pita might have been a nice addition, but I'm probably just being picky here.The grilled Chilean salmon ($12.50), served with rice and roasted veggies or another giant serving of that house salad, may well have been the best prepared salmon I've every eaten. The moist fish featured a perfect combination of seasonings and was perfectly cooked.Several dips make for a nice choice for an appetizer. The baba ganoush (roasted eggplant) was top notch, coming with a large pile of pita slices. And, at $5.95, there was plenty left over for the next day.It's a great menu, ranging from two-fisted gyros to marinated lamb chops to a display case filled with dangerously tempting desserts. No wonder this place stays so busy with diners often lined up to place their orders at the front counter or waiting their turn for takeout orders at the drive-through window.We identified at least a half dozen dishes we can't wait to try and foresee the 35-minute drive from our home as being a regular event. If you're a fan of good Greek food, you have to try this place.
