First the good - loved my smoked mescal margarita (a special). Bang bang shrimp a terrific app. I got the tenderloin and shrimp special; nice flavors. My wife enjoyed her shrimp / scallop skewer. Efficient server. Our bit of a beef this time: We get there at 4:15, literally one other occupied table in whole place, they put us next to them. No big deal, but then a slow moving (i.e. elderly) party of about 12 is placed (planned obviously for a group that size) also right next to us, practically standing on top of us while they slowly get situated. Why not put us on the empty other side when they know this group is coming? Plus this very much slowed down our server. (Not her fault, still a good tip.). Guys â think. Wonât keep us away but hopefully will read and consider the feedback and work with the staff a little on this.

We celebrated a landmark wedding anniversary at Hyde Park Dublin. It was a truly enjoyable early evening meal. Our steaks entrees and accompaniments were excellent and the service was superb. The space is upscale albeit somewhat dark. We found pricing for Hyde Park's 'Early Nights' promotion extremely attractive, i.e. special menu during the first hour they are open. We did, however, experience some difficulty getting the hostess to acknowledge its existence. We specifically asked for this menu and were given a 'deer in the headlight look' We then informed her that we contacted the restaurant to confirm its existence and terms. The hostess then reluctantly admitted its existence and asked if all members of our party wanted this menu to which we responded - Yes. She did not looked too pleased.

I have been several times for an early dinner, once with my youngest daughter and twice with my sister. I generally stay with the tilapia which does not come covered with heavy cream or swimming in butter. I always think the crab legs would be good, but they're so expensive, I just get them from the grocery. Service has always been very good. Biscuits are deadly delicious, as are the desserts. Atmosphere is kind of dark, but very comfy. Between Case and 161 on the west side of Sawmill.
