Go during happy hour and sit in the bar area for the specials. The drink and appetizer specials are phenomenal. If you go on Wednesday, there is an additional pizza deal. Ate and drank with good friends for two hours and our bills were so cheap! High recommend!

I can't say enough about Olive Garden's signature appetizer, unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. Whoever dreamed it up deserves a culinary medal. Olive Garden is a national chain of Italian restaurants. There aren't any locations in downtown Chicago, where we live. But it's always one of our favorite destinations when we're traveling on vacation. On our return home from Alexandria, Virginia, we stopped overnight in Rossford, Ohio, and discovered an Olive Garden only 15 minutes from our hotel, at 1919 South Reynolds Road in Toledo, opposite Southwyck Mall. We started with soup, salad and breadsticks. Always delicious and satisfying. But not too filling. For entrees, my wife chose herb grilled salmon while I couldn't resist Tour of Italy, chicken parmigiana, lasagna and fettuccini alfredo on one plate with house-made meat sauce made from pan seared beef and Italian sausage. Now, THAT was filling. But I still had room for dessert. We shared slices of tiramisu and warm apple crostata. And we washed it all down with a strawberry-banana smoothie and a large glass of strawberry/passion fruit lemonade. More breadsticks, please. Friendly service, comfortable surroundings, good food. That's Olive Garden's trademark.
