Tuesday evening at 7PM, we walked right in a was seated. Waitress stopped by our table in about 3-4 minutes. Ordered water with lemon, water came with no lemon. We were able to get an appetizer order in quickly. Lettuce wraps were good as they usually are. Very fresh crunchy lettuce. Crab Won-tons were just OK. Dragon sushi roll had no flavor. They put the meat on top and it just falls off. Wish they would roll it in.Sweet and Sour chicken entree was pretty good. Chicken Caesar salad had hardly any chicken and was loaded with won-tons or whatever they were trying to disguise as more chicken. Our waitress was hardly seen and she was not that attentive. Sushi came with no chopsticks and she walked away so fast we had to flag her down.Experience was just OK. No real reason to back as Pinecrest development recently opened up nearby and there are 12 new restaurants there to try.

for decades, I've bypassed this restaurant just because I do not regularly shop at La Place. I've been sorely disappointed in the surrounding Chinese restaurants and thought I would give this place a shot. I wish I had come here earlier and save myself several disappointments from other Chinese restaurants, Everything was excellent and quality I wanted in a Chinese restaurant. This is now my go to place for local Chinese food.

I wish there was rating between poor and average...because I really wanted to like this place. I had reviews elsewhere (none on Tripadvisor at that point) and they ranged between love and less. Conveniently located on Green Rd. near Cedar, and across from the Heinens supermarket, I ordered having seen a delicious looking Sesame Chicken dish someone in my building was eating the night before. Came with a generous serving of bright, fresh broccoli. I opted to order sweet and sour chicken as well an egg roll and a cup of won ton soup to give it a good trial run (take out). The place is tiny with about 4 or 5 tables inside a congested bit of space forcing those picking up to walk the short distance through the small dining area to the equally small counter top. It was cluttered with an assortment of baskets holdiing such things as bags of almond cookies and shrimp chips, all reasonably priced. ($1 for a small bag of chips; 3 cookies for about the same). The shrimp were battered, some pieces very tough and chewy. There were 2 (count 'em, TWO) cubes of pineapple, and three chunks of crisp green pepper and couple slices of carrot. Sauce was a generous serving packed separately. The fried rice was a very small grain, very brown, and not, for some reason I couldn't put my finger on, very appealing. I shared my won ton soup with my pup. The broth had a nice color, but little taste to distinguish it...large noodles floating in it, not the stuffed little packet I am used to...my pup had no interest in the noodles...which for her, is odd. The egg roll was in a small bag tossed into the large plastic bag with the other items. It was not crisp and the filling was just a bland thick mass of some sort of vegetable.I wanted so much to like this place, like the friendly Shirley...and the prices were so much more reasonable...but right now it is too soon to think of giving another entree another chance.
