Things to do in Liberty Township
The Roosevelt Room is a place where the young crowd hang to drink. The place is electric, dimly lit and very loud. Music is at a level where you strain to talk, almost to the point of yelling. Mixed drink prices are comparable to most every other "hip" bar - $10 and up. They have 7 signature cocktails - from fru-fru to manly. We tried the "Big Stick" made up of bourbon, bitters, mezcal and a smoking wood chip. We also tried the Speak Softly - champagne, lillet rose and strawberry, the You Will Go Far - vodka, pomegranite juice, sugar and rosemary and the Monocle - gin, St. Germain, chartreuse, sugar, lemon and strawberry. Very tasty. Beers were cold. There is a back room for parties. No wait staff. No food - drinks only. Eat first!

We ate at the new Brio offering called Bar de Mar. The seating on the patio is self serve. The décor is an attractive blue and white casual theme. Social hour is from 5 pm until 7 pm. Beer and wine are $2 off, and well drinks are $4 off. For starters, we ordered the calamari. It was fresh and served hot. The slight spicy kick is due to the buffalo sauce and the sweet chili. Bar del Mar's calamari is some of the best we've ever had. All bar food is made from scratch. For our main entrée we had the Margherita pizza. The pizza is large enough for two people to share. It was also piping hot and fresh. The crust is crispy, and the basil is flavorful. We elected not to order the dessert offerings of peanut butter pie (described as "light") or the s'mores. The music is piped outside to the patio seating, and the indoor bar is a bit noisy. There is a nice couch area, and standing heaters at every table. The bar is okay for families with small children. There are two table-top Jenga tables outside. The service was friendly, and our table was cleared quickly. Tip: Select one of the front entrance tables for great people watching.

Five of us had lunch here on a weekday. No reservations needed. Potato salad had more eggs (in enormous chunks) than potatoes. Chicken salad was OK. Other sandwiches OK- nothing special. They also serve breakfast at lunch and the pancakes were good (and huge). Service was fine. The manager (owner?) kindly turned down the music volume so we could hear each other talk. Building is interesting, and the yard is pretty, so it's a nice setting for a lunch.

This is an unusual place because you have to order and pay up front, then they bring you your food. We stopped here for lunch because they advertised an, "Award Winning Walleye Sandwich". They also offer a batter-fried fish sandwich so we ordered one of each. The walleye ($9.99) was the better of the two but mediocre at best. The deep-fried filet was bigger than the hoagie bun but cut pretty thin. I don't know what award the walleye sandwich got but I would bet it wasn't for the best fish sandwich in town. The batter-fried fish sandwich ($8.99) was a flat out disappointment; the fish sandwich you get at any Frisch's is much better. At those prices they should be able to do better. It's a Sport's bar atmosphere with lots of TV's and several beers on tap. I gave 3 stars but 2 and a half is, IMHO, more accurate. Will not be going back any time soon.

We were happily surprised by the quality and quantity of the food here. The Saratoga Chips are excellent. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is great - not dark and drab like some sports bars. Ample TVs. We liked Shooter's and will certainly be back.

There is no atmosphere and the servers were average at best. It took 10 minutes for the soup and salad to come when there were four tables in use.The chicken bowtie soup was overly salty. Like it was made from packaged broth. The salad and balsamic was nondisript. The chicken pinata really was pasta with a small portion of chicken. I do not have a clue what they were trying to pass off as bread. The bar burger was your average bar burger. It is sad when the potato wedges was the best part of the meal.

We threw a surprise birthday party for my husband and I can say "WOW"! What a great experience from the beginning to the end. Started planning this event in the Spring. Natalie, the event coordinator for Rivertown, was awesome to work with. She is pleasant, welcoming, and so very organized. Only good things to say! Carly was our server on the celebration day. She gave outstanding service and always with a smile. Both Natalie and Carly were so attentive. The party was awesome. And the food... OMG... delicious! Our guests commented on how great the food was and I agree!. Totally recommend Rivertown Brewery & Barrel House! As if having the best pizza is town is not enough, you had to outdo yourself and have the best (and most generous pour of) pints as well.Top that by being a laid- back, welcoming place with staff that seem to enjoy working here, you have a recipe for success. Aren't we pizza and pint customers the lucky ones? Thanks for the awesome review! Come back and see us!

Ate dinner at the Clubhouse last week. Obviously, this is not a fine dining establishment, but for a sports bar it was very good. Large menu with lots of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, burgers and entrees. We started with an order of soft pretzel sticks which were great! Soft pretzels with a cheese dipping sauce. Between the 4 of us we enjoyed a taco salad, an order of chicken wings, a chicken sandwich, and spicy cajun pasta. All were very good. We also added an order of brussels sprouts -- they were fantastic! Nicely grilled in a tangy sauce. Great service. Lots of TVs on the wall. So go for the food, drinks and sports, and always remember to order the brussels sprouts.
