We tried the Morehouse based on its location and the menu. The food is good and the menu is interesting. My wife enjoyed shrimp and grits while I had one of my favorites, short ribs. The restaurant itself is ok in terms of ambiance. Given that we went recently (winter) it was a bit cold where we sat. Contributing to that was the large garage door that they have for summer dining, that was close to our table. Service was good and parking is ok, as long as you time it right.

First time to Down Town Willoughby (DTW) in a while on a weekend. It was obvious that things have changed a bit. We pulled in the lot that serves multiple restaurants in the area and found that they were charging $5 to park. I'm sure they do this to protect the parking lot for people parking there that visit other businesses in DTW. However, there was no type of validation or $5 off your check, just pay to park and walk away. Rip Off. We found public parking across the street and walked over to Sol. We had reservation and were seated right away. The waitress was prompt and I found her to be a little hurried. We were there for a family related function and wanted to dine, not just eat and leave. We all tried some different foods, We ordered apps, the salsa and chips and chorizo stuffed peppers. Both were very good. My wife and I had the tacos, chicken and barbacoa. The food was delicious, but overpriced for the serving size. Our counterparts had the salmon and the same tacos as I did. Both claimed that the food was good, but that the serving sizes were small for the cost. Overall the food was very good, fresh and even the hot sauce seemed made in house. Once we were done, the waitress seemed to hurry to move us out by clearing the table quickly and getting our payments. Although, she never said anything, it was definitely obvious that they were ready for us to leave. Our overall experience was not really great. The food was very good, but the experience will keep me from returning.Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to dine with us at Sol and share your experience. We appreciate the comments and concerns. The parking lot is unfortunately not owned by the restaurant, so this valet system and having to "pay to park" is not something we have much control over. We do apologize for any inconvenience and are glad to hear you found parking across the street! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your tapas! They are such a hit. Our prices are thoroughly thought out, according to food costs and labor. Our scratch kitchen delivers the freshest food possible. We will pass along your comments about the waitress seeming to be in a hurry -- we'd never try to kick our customers out. That will be handled. Thank you again for the review, we hope that you will rethink your comment about not returning and give us a shot during patio season - it is a beautiful time of year at Sol. Cheers!

First time there, and there are a lot of choices in Willoughby downtown. We sat at the bar and were quickly attended to.....ordered screwdrivers. Won't do that again, did not seem to have too much vodka in them. Anyway, the sandwiches we had were good but nothing really special. Two nice young ladies were taking care of the lunch crowd....not really big, however. About $35 inc tip. This is not a bad place by any means, but nothing really special either. Will go elsewhere next time.

The food was generous and delicious and the service was good. The noise level was pretty high, but everyone seemed to be having a great time.

The $2 mushrooms are fantastic with the aoli sauce. I have the $2 mushrooms, $2 salad & $2 tortilla soup. It makes a great meal. It is large portions for the $2 price. The philly sandwich is also one of my favorites. I have not had bad food. The service can be a little slow though. The price of their drinks are very affordable too. We usually eat here once a month.

Five of us tried out this restaurant after a nice review in the local newspaper. All of the food was very good and reasonably priced. The chef, Marion knows what he is doing. We appreciated the fact that the portions were not overwhelming as in many places and that sides were included in the price of many entrees. Would go back again for lunch and try some of the items on the tapas menu.Thank you for coming to enjoy Sandra. We hope to see you back very soon!

At the Willoughby Brewing Company, we specialize in creating the regions finest hand crafted beers. Complemented by our newly redesigned scratch kitchen, your experience will be one to tell your friends about.
I had business meeting at Willoughby Brewing, great history with the building that has been repurposed into the brewery from its old days as an old trolley repair depot. The food was good, not 5-star, its not supposed to be, its all about the Beer! The Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter is really good, I was a little leery as I am not a fan of coffee, but the peanut butter was forward and the coffee was muddled. I was disappointed as they did not have the pumpkin or the creme brulee on hand. Hopnotic Red Ale was also good, the sell crowlers and growlers, they mix the PB Coffee and the Railway Razz (berry) which is great, I took a crowler home of that one.

My wife is taking cake decorating classes directly across from this restaurant so we decided to meet there for a quick dinner. We were told that they were known for their wood fired oven pizzas, and they did not disappoint. We both started off with a house salad, both of us chose the balsamic dressing. The waiter asked if we wanted cheese on our salads. We both said yes and enjoyed. For $6.00 the salad comes with a nice assortment of greens, tomato, cucumber and of course, the cheese and dressing. A nice size salad at that price. We settled on the Sullivan pizza which has their made in house Marguerita sauce which is basically crushed tomatoes and garlic. then there is roasted eggplant, spinach, little more tomato, ricotta cheese, then a blend of mozzarella/provolone and a drizzle of garlic oil. Yummy! The crust, BTW, is a thin crust, but still sturdy enough to pickup individual pieces by hand. They also have a nice selection of main dish salads, sandwiches and burgers. I f you are a beer drinker, you'll be in heaven as they have probably sixteen craft beers on tap. I had a pint of Guiness, my wife iced tea, since she had to decorate a cake afterwards. The pizzas start at $8.00 for a build your own up to $14 for the loaded J Ceasy. The size is your basic 12" eight cut. We wound up taking half our pizza home. Our total came to $42.00 which included a 20% tip. The service was outstanding as we were in and out of there in about 45 minutes.
