Most strip mall pizza places are similar, and that's what I expected at Pizzaeria 1081. I was pleasantly surprised to find their pizza breaks that stereotype while still remaining "pizza". The crust is not thin, nor pan style, but somewhere in the middle. Garlic taste is very noticeable but complementary, not overpowering. Pastries looked amazing... and who would think to find them in pizza joint? Salads are also rather nice.I look forward to trying a large part of their menu. Prices are a little steep on some items, but they advertise the use of Boar's Head products (among others) which accounts for some of the price.

The menu is the same as every other Olive Garden. The food was good but nothing special. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She handled a few special requests from our group perfectly and made the evening better than expected.

Located in Akron's North Hill, an area once known a strong Italian neighbourhood, this family owned restaurant sits on the corner of a busy street. It would be easy to drive by and not think about stopping unless you knew better. They have off street parking in the back. Although we have lived in the area for 35+ years, we had never been here. We went with friends who took their kids here and it is still a big favourite of all of them. We were there late on a Monday, two of our group had the spaghetti and meatball special (I think it was $8.95) which included a salad (lettuce, sliced beets and thinly sliced tomatoes - big helping of shredded cheese was extra) and bread. I had cheese ravioli with homemade sauce. Nothing to rave about, but it was certainly good enough for what I wanted that night. I asked for balsamic dressing (on the side) I received balsamic vinegar. I had been forewarned by the waitress that it was not a vinaigrette, but wasn't expecting that. Order one of their regular dressings! My husband enjoyed his chicken pomodoro. A half split of a weak Chianti was $7.50. It accompanied the ravioli just fine. I understand there are huge crowds for their fish fries during lent. Have no t been. I would probably return.

Romeo's offers a pizza menu with the best pizza you can find as well as subs, wings, salads, and more. The secret to Romeo's award-winning pizza is the sweet sauce which has quickly made Romeo's a favorite of people all over. Romeo's always has pizza spec
As far as commercial pizza goes, they're the best. Sweetness to the sauce is their signature, so if you don't like that then this isn't for you. The sub options are really good too, try the lunch special and get the Godfather.

The people were very friendly but the Italian food was just average. Salads were just iceberg lettuce and cheese versus some healthy mixed greens and additional vegetables. The lasagna and sauce were average - nothing to rave about or say must come here. We did not like the meatballs but that could be just personal preference. They were a bit hard and dry. Perhaps this is better as a pizza place??

We went for a late lunch. The deep dish pizza had a thick outer crust but the middle was paper thin. I ordered a personal pan pizza with ricotta, sausage and mushrooms. I played the "find the sausage and mushroom" game as they were virtually non-existent. The pizza was supposed to be $6.99 with two toppings so I guess the third one was $4??? They were installing some type of window near the dining area and after about 15 minutes of hammering my husband finally asked them to stop until we finished our meal. I would not recommend this restaurant. The server seemed miserable, the food wasn't good and it was overpriced.

Gionino's never disappoints! Pizzas have ample ingredients and they don't skimp to save a few cents--they please the customer!! Chicken and jo-jo's are a hit too in our household. Tip--order the daily combo--Large pizza, 8 piece chicken, jo-jos and coleslaw (also very good) for a bundle price!!
