We were huge fans of Garstka's prior to the closing. Many interesting menu items. The current Zetland Street occupies the same building, and looks like the old Garstka's but with a smaller and less interesting menu.

Admittedly, it takes a lot for me to get excited about pizza. This did not accomplish it. Dayton, in fact, has its own pizza tradition, as exemplified by Marion's and Cassano's: thin, crispy crust, cut into small squares. If one burns out on that, Dewey's is a reasonable alternative. The ingredients are the stars here, and they're quite good. The crust--not so much. It's just bready enough that it doesn't get crisp, or have an real body. I did, however, have a quite creditable calzone.

We're proud to have been the first LaRosa's in the Miami Valley. Since 2002, we've worked to make our pizzeria a comfortable place the whole family can enjoy. Select from our entire menu of LaRosa family recipes in our dining room, from our famous pizza a
This restaurant is stand-alone on the edge of a strip mall.Dined here on a weekday evening 7pm and was seated immediately. Friendly and fast service.Selected the personal size pan deluxe pizza combo which included a small house salad. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the LaRosa's Creamy Garlic salad dressing (I bought several to take back to Texas)! The pan pizza dough was perfect - not too doughy and not too thin with abundant toppings!VERY GOOD pizza!

Open 1.5 years as a chain, Godfather's Pizza
We are fans of Godfathers.Looking forward to a visit to Godfathers in western Maryland.Godfathers has a superb training program for the servers. The Wilmington Pike location is a small carryout, and often families are enjoying a pizza on site.We recommend a Super Specialty Pizza. We like the Super Combo. This is not a New York Pizza, and is very similar to a Chicago pizza. Close enough, that we do not have to drive to Pizza Uno's.

While New York style is not my favorite style, this pizza is darn good. I like to stop in for a slice every once and awhile. Occasionally get a whole pie to take home.

There are but a few pizza places in the area that have real NY style pizza, and yes, we have lived in both NYC and Philly. Not only is the pizza great, they can serve it by the slice.Fortunately for the Dayton area, ther are three FlyPie locations. There is seating, but it is limited to squnchy little tables and booths.Service was friendly, but no family on board this visit.

Following league tennis today we set our sights on Piada Italian Street Food. All Greater Dayton Metropolitan Areas Piada Italian Street Food restaurants are very good and we recommend all locations. Our arrival found the staff in a meeting, and they soon dismissed and began service.Today we were interested in the Diavolo Pasta, and in no time a great Diavolo Pasta was prepared and served. We like the all glass front dining area, and we noted a professional staff. The Diavolo Pasta was excellent.

We stopped in for a casual dinner at Carrabba's on the Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend. We expected the restaurant to be crowded (as they often are) but found plenty of room at the bar to be seated immediately. We have visited here maybe ten times and have always enjoyed the food.Andrew, our bartender, was very friendly and attentive. He took our drink orders quickly and gave us good advice on both wines and entrees. It was happy hour (offered daily 4-6:30) so we ordered a half price appetizer, a $3 beer, and a discounted glass of wine. The caprese salad of tomatoes and soft cheese was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, the pasta Georgio and pasta Mezzaluna. The servings were large so we'll have a second meal of each at home. The decor here is quite pleasing with comfortable seating of both booths and tables. The bar is large and fun to sit at with TVs available. We think you'll like this Carrabba's.

Seems a local favorite with lots of good ratings. For us, it was below average food with average service. Ingredients in the pizza, i e., mushrooms canned, vegetables bland and sauce actually âoffâ in flavor. Not really pizza by standard definition and not very good. Staff unapologetic and said â you donât really know what good pizza isâ. Having pizza throughout the United States, Italy and elsewhere and enjoying everything from traditional New York pizza to California style to those in Italy-all different, but most well-made and tasty in their own way- this just falls short.
