This place is off the beaten path, but a Huron classic. If youâre visiting the area and want a taste of the local flavor, stop in to the Sand Bar! While it feels like a shot and a beer joint there are many families that enjoy dining on Pizza, burgers, fries.

Located at Thunderbird Hills North golf course clubhouse
Bar North Bistro is located on the North course of Thunderbird Hills Golf Course. This bistro opened in 2010 and it is one of our favorite restaurants to dine. The dinner menu is abundant with appetizers, salads, soups, signature entrees, burgers, sandwiches and house made desserts. The bistro is an ideal place to meet your friends on a weekend night or to get a quick week day sandwich and a craft beer. My husband ordered fresh grilled salmon, red potatoes and broccoli which he enjoyed. I ordered the special of the day which was grilled halibut. I opted out of a starch and ordered broccoli and spinach. The house made crème brulee was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner.
Nothing but trouble and I can almost guarantee that if you go in this bar you will get in a fight, get harassed or get arrested. A definite hole in the wall.

Whenever we're in town on business we always look forward to eating here. The service and food are both excellent. They have a wide selection of different types of food available other than the normal bar food you'd see in other places. The fresh fish dishes are all very good and some of their appetizers are not to be missed (home made tater tots - they're huge!)
Yes I've reviewed this local gem before but this deserves repeating. The place is small but has nine taps that seem to rotate weekly. The bar manager understands craft beer and goes out of his way to accommodate his craft beer drinking customers. Usually a couple of Ohio beers mixed with the more national beers on tap. The bottled craft beer menu is quite expansive considering the size of the place. They have also up dated their food menu at the bar and the food is better and inexpensive but still bar food. If you are looking for a meal go to a regular restaurant but if you're looking for a beer with something to nibble on at the same time go here. The opening of Bar 145 may have affected some of the other places in town but the Office Bar keeps doing what they do and doing it right. They have a better selection of beers than 145 and they have a better liquor bar.Open at 3 weekdays, home of the local Browns backers club for Sundays.Try it you won't be sorry.

Had gone here before and a terrible experience with everything and waiter, food and manager of course I Complained to a gentleman named Eric out of Toledo he said he'd take care of it and sent me a gift card took awhile to go back but I eventually did and been back several times since than. It's like the manager did a complete turn a round and oh so much for the best. The food was never the issue so I recommend that if you haven't been there give them a try. And thanks Eric for whatever you did to straighten out the staff

Took my Grandma in for lunch on the Saturday of mother's day. I had her usual strawberry daiquiri & liver and onions. My husband & I had the clam chowder & perch sandwich. The food was excellent. The server was AMAZING as grams has trouble hearing and she got down close to her to go over the menu. Love the extra attention she gave her. Reasonably priced and right in downtown Norwalk. Be sure to stop.

We stopped into the Wonder Bar again tonight to give out another try. It was so packed that we almost left immediately. We managed to snag a table though, so We decided to go ahead and stay. It turns out it was a local woman's 99th birthday celebration. We decided to order and were worried about the food that been as good as the 1st time we had come because they were so packed and sometimes that creates issues in kitchens wherefood just doesn't get made right. We were pleasantly surprised when everything came out great. One of the employees, I don't know if he was a manager or owner or what, approached our table and thanked us for coming. He wanted to make sure that we had been well-cared-for and enjoyed our meal despite the big party going on around us. The experience was good the, food was good, and I would definitely recommend you give it a try. We will go again. If I had to give a complaint, I guess I would say that the drinks were refilled a little slow but other than that everything was great. The waitress even brought our 5 year-old a chocolate cupcake after our dinner. It was a very friendly place.
