If I drive by there is no reason to come in for authentic Chinese because the sign says Polynesian. Small old looking restaurant with parking lot. A friend recommended this place. There is a special Chinese menu offer authentic Chinese dishes at reasonable price. I ordered pan friend flounder and bok choy stir fried. Both dishes are good. Service is simple.

My son wanted some hibachi food so badly. We were looking for something different in the city...not the regular Japanese hibachi restaurants. My husband works near this restaurant and suggested we visit. We were not disappointed. We were immediately seated at a hibachi table and did not have to wait for the entire table to be filled before we were serviced. Which is a PLUS!!!! The lunch specials were much less expensive than the dinner specials, so think lunch if you are on a budget. Had the same options as most hibachi grill restaurants, as well as charging an extra $1 for fried rice. The salad that came with the order was good, but the soup was not...not at all. I don't know if that is how the soup usually tastes at this establishment, but it was not good. Not much flavor. Almost just tasted like warm water with a few veggies in it. I didn't eat it. The experience was clean, quick and outside of the soup...delicious. I would immediately visit again.

I have eaten at so many Indian restaurants from West Coast to East Coast and this place stands up at the level of the best ones at the very top. Good assortment of dishes, kid friendly, clean and tastebuds friendly place. I would eat here every time I visit Cincinnati.

We went to Pho Kimmy in Sharonville which i have visited before. It is a delight. The place is always full and people enjoy their meals here. Its an obvious meeting place over a weekend. The rice paper spring rolls with pork, prawn, lettuce etc was super. Then i had the shrimp fried rice which had an abundance of shrimp with peas, and other stuff. Really delicious. My son and family enjoy their pork sandwiches here as they are filling, delicious and moderately priced. For Vietnamese food, this is certainly the best and authentic. Dont miss.

I'm passing through the Cincinnati area, on business, and stumbled across Basil Thai Bistro. It did not disappoint! The server was very pleasant and very efficiently took my order. I started with the Seafood Thom Yum soup (real seafood and very tasty), then tried the Fresh Rolls (good size and flavor), and had the Chicken Green Curry for my main. The curry was very fragrant and had a very pleasant broth. Due to business travel, I get the chance to try Thai restaurants all over the country, and I would rank this one very high, in terms of food, service, and cleanliness. Well done! Stop in for lunch or dinner, and you won't be disappointed!

A nice place overall but if you're looking for authentic South Indian, your search doesn't end here. Food: We went for Vada Sambhar, Masala Idli, Pongal with Avial and Mysore Coffee. Vada Sambhar was great. The Vada was made very well and a perfect combination with the hot sambhar. Masala Idli was great. Quite spicy. Idli was melt in mouth. However, Pongal was disappointing. It was closer to Gujarati Khichdi in terms of taste. To be fair, none of the South Indian restaurants in the US, I've tried so far, have been able to recreate the authentic Pongal you get in Hyderabad, Chennai or Bangalore. Avial, however, was amazing and a must try. Mysore Coffee was okay. Ambiance: Quite good. Not much South Indian touch when it came to the ambiance. I would have loved to see something on that.Service: Service was good. Vada sambhar came in a flash since sambhars are generally made in bulk and Vada don't need to be hot because the sambhar is. However, we had a good 10mins wait before we had Masala Idli and Pongal with Avial. Staff, not quite enthusiastic - probably they wanted to be at the theater watching Bahubali 2 but they were made to work instead.

Checked this place out after reading numerous reviewers rave about the authenticity of the food and experience. Upon entering, the staff promptly greeted us in Japanese much like the norm in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and other eateries we've been fortunate to experience. We had to wait about 10 minutes or so before a table cleared up as every seat was filled -- a testimony to the popularity of Ando.We ordered three rolls as appetizers (pickles/oshinko roll for $5.25; spicy tuna roll for $7.50; yellowtail roll for $7.75) along with tempura ($11.75). Rolls were decent though sizing was small. Wasabi was pleasant and had nice solid kick to it. Tempura was disappointing. For the price charged and what was brought out, I would recommend you skip ordering this. For entrees, my mom ordered the sashimi salad ($14.50) while the boys ordered yaki soba ($10.50) and katsu don ($14.95). I ordered the zaru soba ($10.00). Plating was decent. Ingredients and what was served though was a miss. My zaru soba's accompanying sauce was bland and lacked any real flavor. The katsu don was anemic in that the pork cutlet barely stood out from that bed of rice it was served upon. Factor in that egg and vegetables were noticeably missing, this was a miss as well. The yaki soba was light on vegetables and protein too.For us, this is a one and done. While others rave about this place, its hard to see why. Maybe we were just unlucky patrons whose dishes missed completely. For the price of the meal for four ($87.95), we'd been far better off having gone to Chipotle.

Uncle Yip's serves the finest authentic southern Chinese cuisine possible. Cantonese, Thai, Hunan, Sichuan Dim Sum and seafood is on the menu. Twin lobster along with dinner specials are favorites (ask your server or check the board for special foods). Di
A friendly place, with better-than-average southern Chinese dishes, including house-made wontons, a range of seafood choices, and an interesting dim sum menu. We appreciated the attention we received as first-time diners and the time the owners took to explain not only the kind of cooking the restaurant features but also how it differed from other Chinese cuisines. Prices at this no-frills strip center restaurant are modest and portions are generous. And like many Chinese restaurants, food arrives at the table in no time. TripAdvisor doesn't permit half-star increments in ratings. A shame since this deserves a solid 3 ½ stars.

I walked into a nearly full restaurant as the only Caucasian customer...always a good sign. The portions were huge and the quality very good. Some of the best I've had in the entire city (Sichuan Bistro in Mason the only comparable experience).I would highly recommend!
