This is a great place for dinner (and probably other meals as well)! We enjoyed the fried chicken which was moist with a crunchy crust--perfect. I chose mashed potatoes and a salad bar for my sides. The salad bar is medium-sized and featured a number of salads, pickled eggs, and even a few dessert items. We were too full to top off the meal with pie, but you might want to save save some room. They looked wonderful.

The pizza is very good. I tried the buffet after seeing the selection. Wow. Every pizza offered on the menu was available. The salad bar was complete. There were wings, cheese bread, and cinnamon desert on the buffet. I am not a buffet person, but made an exception after seeing this one. Great job!

Ate with a group. There were some unusual choices on sandwiches and soups. I had the turkey club but asked for it on sourdough bread. Good homemade chips, good onion rings. the only reason I did not give it a 5 was there were not as many choices as I would have liked. Nice bakery to boot!

For good homestyle cooking in a friendly relaxing atmosphere, stop in at Charm Family Restaurant on the main street in Charm, Ohio. Enjoy the local traffic with different and interesting modes of transportation go by while your meal is being prepared by o
I would definitely dub the Charm Family Restaurant as a âhidden treasure off the beaten path!â Get thee hence! Wow! The food was over-the-top in taste and quantityâand definitely worth the price! This was our second visit and we will be back often! Itâs worth the hour drive!!! My husband ordered the Reubenâfor him the Reuben is his barometer for measuring the quality of a restaurant. He gave this Reuben served on two thick slices of homemade bread with an abundance of corned beef 5 Stars! And that is what I would give the homemade chicken salad, made fresh from fresh, not canned ingredients! MmmMmmMmm. For my side I had the carrotsâI have never tasted carrots so deliciousâand again, they were cooked fresh. These did not come out of a can! Make sure you order a side of the Corn Puddingâthe name may sound weird for the non-Amish like us, but oh my goodness! Delicious!!!! Before you leave the parking lot, make sure you bookmark this place on your GPS or Google maps because youâre going to want to come back again and again!

Iâm not sure if Iâm a German good snob, but this just wasnât that good. The buffet was probably reasonably priced given the food options, but I thought the quality was average at best. My wife accidentally picked up the cream-less cream puff, which was disappointing. I thought the steak was only barely tolerable with gravy and the mashed potatoes had no flavor. There were a few bright spots, though. The stuffed cabbage was good and I thought the mashed potato casserole was pretty good as well. The salad bar had quite a few options. Thank you for reviewing your visit! While we're glad to see you enjoyed certain points, we're sorry to see we disappointed in others. We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so that we may address and improve where necessary. We hope you'll return for an opportunity to enjoy our buffet again or the many delicious options we offer on our weekday/Saturday menu!

Berlin Farmstead Restaurant is located in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. Known for Broasted and Pan-fried chicken, real mashed potatoes, homemade breads, pies and cookies. Centrally located in the heart of Holmes County's Amish country.
We've eaten here previously and while it wasn't especially good, this time it was downright poor and we won't return. We ate the dinner buffet and everything was tough, poorly seasoned (somewhat expected at the Amish restaurants. They don't really season much beyond salt & pepper) and we were sorry we went here.Robinla,I'm sorry you were dissatisfied with you dining experience at Berlin Farmstead. As you stated most traditional Amish recipes are very lightly seasoned. We do have a few items on our menu that are such as a taco salad you can have with either the seasoned beef, spicy chicken or regular charbroiled chicken that is served with a taco dressing and salsa and sour cream. Another spicier option is the stir fry. It can be served with either the charbroiled chicken or our roast beef. We have various dressings for that....my favorite is the sweet chili dressing, a little bit sweet and a little heat. I hope that you talked to a manager that evening so that we could make sure you had something that you enjoyed. If you would care to call to discuss you visit you can reach me 330-893-4600. Just ask for Nancy .Thanks and have a great day!

"where the locals eat" Boyd & Wurthmann Restaurant still serves a 75¢ cup of coffee and is one of the oldest established businesses in Berlin, Ohio. The restaurant is family-owned and has been in business since 1938. Our Amish cooks do a great job making
Popular busy place, be prepared for a long line! Worth the wait, but unfortunately, they were out of chicken. We both had the hot beef manhattan (they had a different name for it) and it was very good. Wish it hadn't been so busy, we wouldn't have felt so rushed, but great service and good food.

For the hard-working people of Holmes County, Ohio, eating is a simple pleasure, shared at family meals, times of fellowship, and celebrations. Der Dutchman Restaurant has been at the heart of this community and its food traditions for more than 30 years.
I would not believe the hype of Amish food - I've had it here in Indiana which was excellent, and this is no where near as good. The service was horrible, we had to ask for water three times. The waitress was only concerned about giving us more rolls. The food came and it was lukewarm. We could not advise our waitress as she never came back. Noodles were blah, chicken was tasteless, the beef was just ok, creamed corn was cold, not even lukewarm. Save your money, don't go here.Sorry we were not up to our normal standards. We do strive to not only serve great food but to also have wonderful service for our guests. Thanks for letting us know. We will continue to look for ways to improve.

The food here is outstanding. I can't say it enough. Salads were great, sandwiches too. Four of us all had something different and each was something special. If there is a wait...it will be worth it. And we don't like to wait. But it was.Enjoy the experience.

Very friendly staff, nice location and a beautiful building. The soup and sandwich were awesome. It was a chilly day outside, so a bit chilly inside! I would return. No salads on the menu, but it is a coffee shop! :-)Thanks for the review. We are planning to add salads to the menu in January.
