Oceanside is a seaside oasis of recreation and beautiful beaches. Centrally located between San Diego and Los Angeles, Oceanside is frequently referred to as “the hub of Southern California.” From here, it’s easy to access a variety of amusement parks and family activities such as Disneyland, Legoland, Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. If you’re looking to educate as well as entertain, you won’t be disappointed. Take your kids to visit Mission San Luis Rey. Founded in 1798, Mission San Luis is often called “The King of Missions” and includes picnic grounds and a gift shop in addition to a museum. Also check out the California Surf Museum or the Oceanside Museum of Art. With more than six miles of frontal beach roads, Oceanside allows you to jog, bike or skate to your heart’s content. Bike the San Luis Rey River Biking trail or take part in private o group surf lessons from a local surf school. Get your sea legs on and check out one of the many boat rental companies for a trip out to sea you won’t soon forget – go deep sea fishing, diving or whale watching. For the golf lover, Oceanside is a veritable paradise! With six courses in or near Oceanside, you’re sure to find a public or private course to fit your game - try Oceanside Municipal Golf Course, Emerald Isle Golf Course or Pendleton Marine Golf Course.

Ty's Burger House is a locally owned family business. We strive in bring a delicious taste to downtown Oceanside. Come try one of our delicious burgers or salads. Each in out clean dining room or take advantage of our outdoor patio. Either way, you are going to find that Ty's Burgher House has something for everyone and they definitely know burgers.
Stopped here after a day in San Diego and a ride north on the Coaster. Ty’s is just .2 of a mile from the Oceanside Transit Center. Don’t let the storefront put you off. The interior appearance is more inviting. And the burgers are great as others have noted. We had the chili cheese and the bacon Mac and cheese burgers. Even the 1/3 pound size is a meal, with a side of fries.

Best in San Diego County, worth the drive to Oceanside.
All of the food choices are excellent! Pulled Pork, Brisket, Southern Style Fried Chicken, and Fried Catfish are all on my " favorite" list. Their corn bread muffins are awesomely addictive, and their side dishes are just as great. Leave room for desert if you can and try their Key Lime Pie, or the Sweet Potato Pie.

Waterfront cafe with an outdoor patio, gorgeous view, nestled right in Harbor Village. Local haven for omelets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, fish tacos, fish & chips, mimosa's, bloody mary's, and craft beer. Dog friendly patio. Try our famous tangerine mimosa, coffee cake or fresh made potato chips.
A great spot on Oceanside Harbor. Visited for breakfast. The outdoor seating is comfortable and heated when appropriate. We had the Spicy Chicken Omelette, Cuban Omelette and Açaí Bowl. All 3 were delicious and highly recommended. Coffee cake is offered as a side and is unbelievable. The biscuits and gravy are also fantastic. Fresh ingredients and excellent preparation on all selections.

I went to Local Tap House with a friend. We got there when it opened and there was only one other group of people there...so it was easy to get a seat. The server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Blue Collar Burger and left very full. Would definitely recommend this burger!! I would be interested in coming back for their dinner menu.

It was super crowded, which to me is always a good sign. Definitely a locals joint-fun and friendly. A great selection of unique food. The special flatbread was terrific, as was the octopus, but the papperdelle pasta was the star of the show! Saved too. For the pot de creme which was amazing! Looks like a dive from the outside, but this place was our favorite in Oceanside!

Welcome to That Boy Good a Southern BBQ Joint in the heart of downtown Oceanside! We pride ourselves on fresh food made daily from scratch. No MSG's or can products in our kitchen! Chicken and Waffles and Fried Delta Catfish are some of our specialty items, but our BBQ is the best you will find West of the Mississippi! Come in and check us out and see why the locals crave our BBQ! Hope to see ya soon!
It was a small bar restaurant with a not so clean vibe. The service fair. My husband ordered a rack of ribs and was very disappointed they were overbooked and fatty. The greens undercooked. The pulled pork sandwich was good. We would not go back.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but once inside the food was a treat. Best exotic sushi I've eaten. Service was great. Food fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place but reserve since it is small. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food.
