We had eaten here once before. It was a dinner before a nearby entertainment performance and the food was as good as reviews had said it would be but we were somewhat rushed to the point of not fully appreciating just how good Hansiâs was.So, after my wifeâs massage, I suggested that we take lunch here and we are really glad that we did. We were not in a rush and the place was full. It was a Wednesday and it seemed as though many of the patrons knew Hansi; so, this was not a touristy place. Both my wife and I order the luncheon menu without the dessert. I started with a unique salad chevre chaudâthe goat cheese was not on a piece of toast but enmeshed in a pastry similar to filo dough. The tiny diced cucumbers and carrots and (I think) bacon with the herbs were very special. My wife started with a grave lox dish which was not so unique but very good.My wife ordered a main course of cod well dressed and tasty while I ate the moules farcies which was terrific. We shared a half liter of house rosé and a liter of San Pelligrino and paid just under 50 euros. The service was extraordinary since Hansi, one waitress, and â perhaps â two cooks under Hansiâs close supervision served a full restaurant.

Just had the most wonderful lunch at this restaurant on the corner of the historic district. When I saw the new tapas menu, I couldn't wait to try it. Today was the perfect day - sunny and 14 degrees. A fun group was enjoying a litre of rosé as they sat on bar stools outdoors basking in the sun - their cheer was matched by the charming flamingo wine decanter! Big portions of perfectly cook potatas bravas and delicious pain a la tomate plus a glass of rosé, my bill came in at 10 euro. Such a great deal! I will return soon to try more on the menu

Having walked all around Pézenas we arrived back where we started, hungry! A simple meal of Hamburger and home made Chocolate tart was very good. Great service - it is obviously out of season, but very friendly. Hamburger was excellent, a topping of cheese and roasted cherry tomatoes with a bbq type sauce. Would return any day.

An unpretentious restaurant which offers good value for money. Recommended by the owners of the house we rented. Good galettes, steak hachés excellent (as were the frites). Enormous salads. Moules frites as a special. Pichets of decent rosé. Service was friendly and quick. Takes cards. Apparently the best roast duck in town.
I have been to this cafe many times and today met friends for coffee before we go home to our respective countries. My elderly friend, who is unwell, and has visited the area for twenty five years, rode his bike with his assistant. They parked their bikes near the cafe. There was a strong wind and without our noticing, the bikes fell over onto a scooter apparently owned by the waiter. He raced over, threw the bikes onto the ground, shouting. This was deplorable behaviour. My elderly friend was deeply distressed. It has ruined my last day in Pezenas. None of us will ever go to this cafe again, and I will ensure that the waiter's aggressive behaviour is known far and wide.
