We were on a birdwatching trip but the birds were a bit slow - so the four of us stopped for a break of half a dozen oysters each. Delicious.Really, really, friendly staff. Nice shade in the middle of the day (and shelter from the wind) - and the oysters were superb and very reasonably priced.Memorable.

Found this lovely beach restaurant while stopping at the aires on the plage. Walked down to the beach and there is was.What a fantastic place, Big cushions on the beach to relax on and have a cool drink or like we did one lunchtime has Tapas sat there watching the people in the sea.Restuarant part, slightly up from the beach area, just like being in a Bedouin tent Food was really good, we went for Tapas excellent section of choices and the first time I have had Le Poule and it was really moist and flavorsome.Service was very quick and the not long to wait for the dishes to arrive.We ate there several times while staying on the Aires and we will be back next spring when it reopens.It's a must if you are at Leucate.Fantastic place for eating and drinkingStaff really make you feel welcome and even our little dog was made very welcome with water and snacks!

Très bel établissement au Mas des ostréiculteurs de LEUCATE. Producteur sur lâétang, ils proposent des dégustations sur place, belle salle très conviviale. Même nous qui habitons dans le département, une visite & dégustation câest comme des vacances.Les fruits de mer sortent des bassins pour votre assiette.

Waww you can eat as a king! The restaurant is in the edge of the beach, movie decor! Everything we taste was so delicious, the calamars, the scallops, the octopus, the grilled fish... really we enjoyed our dinner! The service was kind and attentive! We highly recommend you this restaurant!

If you like oysters, you have to come to the Centre Ostreicole in Leucate. L'Aquarium is one of the oyster stalls that serve fresh oysters. Here there are no cook food but just oysters, and drinks. A heaven for any oyster-lover!

We had been told about this place but words cannot describe it sufficiently. There are at least 20 restaurants all selling Seafood with Oysters and Muscles their specialty.We chose Le Mas Bleu and was not disappointed. We had a huge serving of large oysters and muscles. We were surprised that the muscles were served raw, but it being a first we tried them and my wife even said she enjoyed them more than the oysters.The raw nature of this place is amazing, little restaurants out front of the Oyster Farmers sheds. You can eat there or buy all you want to take home. Cheap is the word especially to take away. We paid 2 Euro for a kilos of muscles. If you love seafood and especially if you love OYSTERS don't miss this sensational place.

The whole oyster farm zone is a bit unusual for this upmarket product.In this very democratic cluster of ultimately simple oyster bars Chez Cul d' Oursin seems to be very popular and busy.The degustation menus are available in different languages, the staff try to understand everyone. It is quick , tasty, unsophisticated and very inexpensive.

We ate here twice whilst staying in Leucate Village. There are inside tables and some tables outside the restaurant by the road. There are also tables over the road in the village square. It is a popular restaurant and we reserved a table in advance. Service was extremely efficient and friendly. The pizzas and salads were excellent and we enjoyed our evenings here.

About 20 years ago we stayed in La Franqui when it was a sleepy little beach resort at the end of a small road. It is has expanded (obviously) but this restaurant has appeared which is a big plus. We, a family of 8 ate there at lunchtime and were all delighted with the quality and variety of the food, with excellent seafood options but also some good choices for those like me who prefer meat. Thoroughly recommended, and I guess even more attractive for those who like their brand of music at evenings/weekends.
