What a gem of a find in the backstreets of Avignon! Persevere to find this small restaurant in the back streets of Avignon, it is well worth the visit. Very busy but small pizzeria / Italian eatery. Excellent food and equally good service. Definitely recommended and worth the effort which is out of the tourist trap. Large sized pizzas and carbonara served in the frying pan which is quite novel. Very reasonable prices too.

We had dinner at Le Cedre this summer when visiting Avignon. We had not been there before and did not know what to expect. We chose this restaurant because it was the only Lebanese restaurant close to our hotel. We were seated at the table outside promptly and were given sufficient time to study the wide variety of dishes the place offers. The menu is rich with variety of Mezza, both vegetarian and containing various kind of meats. Additionally, there are different Kebobs and other Lebanese cuisines as well as delicious desserts. The restaurant also offers gluten free dishes. I chose a vegetarian Meza dish while my wife had a Meza containing chicken. By the time we ordered our food, most of the table outside were filled with customers with previous reservation. It looked like this restaurant is quite popular with locals. We were quite surprised when We got our food. Each dish was enough to feed at least two persons. Both orders were well prepared and delicious. Needless to say, we could not eat the entire food and since we were staying in a hotel and did not have access to a kitchen, we could not take the leftover. The service was above average considering how crowded the restaurant was. We did have soft drinks but the restaurant also serves variety of wines and beers. We recommend this restaurant highly. The only negative point was the noise. The tables were close to a street with moderate traffic. We would visit this place again when we return to Avignon.

This place deserves its excellent reviews for the quality of the food.Service is a little sketchy but if you can cope with that then definitely give it a try. We had 2 pasta dishes and both were divine. A carafe of house red at â¬8 was very drinkable and the coffee ice cream was strongly flavoured and delicious.

We spent one night in Avignon and wanted to choose very carefully the restaurant we will dine at. After a long search we decided to choose Pollen, which looked very promising. We were not disappointed. The space is very pleasant and relaxing. Staff was very nice and helpful. The chef served few of the dishes himself and the food and wine were absolutely great. We donât eat meat and asked the restaurant if they can accommodate our dietary restrictions. They said it is not a problem. We took the 6 courses menu with a bit of hesitation since we were afraid The chef would prepare us a âcompromiseâ dishes. All the dishes served were perfectly made with 4 different types of fish. We highly recommend the experience.

This is an excellent restaurant serving traditional Provencale cuisine at very reasonable prices. You can sit inside (well-airconned) or out (on a not very interesting street). The fixed price menus are great value. If you intend to see the son et lumiere show at the Palais at 2130H, let the staff know when you arrive and they will serve your courses so there is no rush at the end.,

Went here after some hours of shopping. First off; Avignon is a beautiful and romantic city. I allways use this app finding a restaurant, and this restaurant soon draw my attention; the simplicity but good quality. Itâs located in a small alley, which we found really nice. We visited with our two kids. Since our kids our much about simple pasta and fried goods, we asked the waitress if some ajdustments good be made to the pasta which was on the menu (the original pasta with cury and nuts looked very good, but experimenting is not something our kids do easily). Me and my wife shared the biscuit with pesto and peas, had the steak tuna with vegetables and a mixed fish cury. The kids shared the pasta - served with butter and parmesan and had the french steak. The tuna - medium cooked -and the vegetables were cooked very, very good. The mixed fish cury was fine, simple thai dish. The pasta the kids had was just like described- with cheese and some oil; nothing more nothing less. The beef steak was tender and tasted very nice. The vegetables which came with it- especially the haricots verts were perfectly cooked. We had a white wine, which tasted fine. They charged the original 13 euro for the pasta the kids had. That is too expensive for just pasta and cheese. The rest of the of the prices are good though. The service is good. Overall we had a very nice experience and would recommend it.

We dined at L'Enclos because of the reviews regarding oysters and other delights from the sea. It was amazing ... the place is a little hard to find and like every place else no easy parking. We ate out on the patio starting with a delightful souppe de poisson. It was wonderful very unique and we think the best we have ever had in France. Next came the platter of oysters clams shrimp clams mussels etc. It was an incredible presentation, fresh delightful tastes served with aoli and a shallot sauce and warm bread.I would definitely return - beware there is no " real cooked seafood"it's all about freshness and the sea! Merci beaucoup pour tous ces compliments !

We found this restaurant while wandering around the village, and decided to try it primarily because of its emphasis on local ingredients. The menu changes daily and included a number of savory choices. We had scallops on risotto made with Faro. Delicious! We also enjoyed our starter, shrimp with avocados. For desert we and almost all the diners at the other tables had strawberries stacked with a special cream and wafer. It was an architectural wonder as well as being so tasty. (The local strawberries were at the height of the season.)The restaurant is small yet has enough space between tables provide privacy. The only disappointment was that the weather was too cold to eat outdoors. The restaurant has a lovely patio and garden.

This is a wonderful little restaurant that my wife and I dined at one lunch while visiting the city of Villeneuve les Avignon. Great food, wonderful staff staffstaff, stafffriendly
We had an absolutely lovely evening here. The gentleman who greeted us and served us was so cheerful and so kind, genuinely concerned that we had an all round fine experience, which we did. Our entrees and plats were all so tasty, especially the roast pork. The ambience is warm and the tables near the windows offer great people watching. Prices for food and wine are quite reasonable and it seems to be open longer hours than other places on this square.
