Small restaurant; booking recommended. Food and presentation very good. Salad starters amazing; beware they are large portions. Good value fixed priced menu. Friendly staff; some English spoken. Good parking outside. Donât let the parade of shops put you off. This is a little gem.

We came here on the recommendation of friends and were glad we did so. We were seated overlooking the town, high on a fortification outside the hotel - really spectacular. Following aperitifs all four of us opted for the same choices on the 30 euro set menu (they also do a 40 euro menu and a 25 euro vegetarian menu). Gravalax salmon followed by the deconstructed paella. The salmon portions were very large and it was delicious. When the paella arrived I thought it was on the small side, however afterwards I was glad it wasn't any larger. It also was excellent with the different elements arranged on the plate. The desserts didn't disappoint either, all were top drawer. The only downside was the service, we had to ask twice for the bread to be replenished and the same with the wine, which eventually arrived towards the end of the starter. Poor for a restaurant of this class. That aside highly recommended

We selected this restaurant based on previous reviews. We were disappointed that the restaurant didn't live up to expectations. The good - the ambiance was fine, the waiters were friendly and helpful, and the service was in general good. The food was the let down - we chose to eat from one of the fixed menus. The carpaccio of salmon was more like smoked salmon, complete with black bits. The lamb cutlets were extremely fatty with little meat, and the fries with both our meals were very mediocre. The quality vs price was poor in our opinion. We feel like we fell for the tourist trap.

We sought out this restaurant whilst in St CYPRIEN last week after reading it's reviews. Although it looked a little down market. The staff were very friendly, the service excellent and the food superb. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food. We opted for the chefs special of 2 @ meal for 2 but the owner suggested we could try one of everything (21 dishes in total) What a fantastic dish. All 4 of us enjoyed the meal and the price was very reasonable. My one piece of advice would be not to rest your elbows on the black rubberised table coverings as they leave marks.A big thank you to all the staff who made this a great meal and to Trip Advisor for enabling us to find this place which is out of the way and some distance from the normal Harbour area restaurants.

Mediterranean kitchen with fresh products
A great place at any time of the day for drinks, lunch, dinner or coffee. A wide selection of starters and mains, if you like mussels this is the place for you (I don't but each visit I always have something different to eat). The price is a aerate for France. During August there are several music groups, varying types of genres, if you are at the Maillol you will have premier seats! We visit Le Maillol on a frequent basis from our place at Saint Cyprien, it is located right in the beach, lovely staff, Nicholas and Elsa always have time for a quick chat. There are comfy seats and tables outside, a covered area for eating and places next to the bar on a terrace.

We are staying in Argeles-Sur-Mer and wanted a nice evening out for dinner, something traditional and found this gem on trip-advisor and thought weâd give it a go.As previous reviews said, from the exterior we wasnât sure and went inside and met by a pleasant French lady who couldnât speak English but we managed. As soon as we sat down, a group of around 20 people followed us in (All French) which must of meant a good thing. There is plenty of choices on the menu, including a set menu, and another waitress who spoke little English helped us through. The decision was made and food decided.Starter- we all had a variety of salad which would deifebtly be the size of a main but was perfectMains - we all had a variety of mains but the speciality was a veg/potato thing which came with the food. Amazing, out of this worldDessert- all amazing choicesThe restaurant has lots of free parking and at the end of dinner the chef even comes out to say hello! If you are in the area itâs a must and if Iâm ever in the area again I will return. Not to be missed

Our restaurant l'Almandin, and our Chef Christophe Schmitt a has been honored with 1-star at the michelin guide in 2018
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, le chef exceptional. We have adored the food and the wines. Expensive but worth the price in a region with lots of terrible, pretentious and really bad restaurants. Agnolotti a l'ognion de Toulouges etc., St Pierre or Rougets en main course, an excellent choice of cheeses served at the right temperature and a dessert of figues.

We had an absolutely gorgeous meal here. Our table was on the terrace with a fantastic view of the ramparts, the mountains and out to the coast. The food was great value and delicious. The service was attentive and they spoke English when our French faltered.Absolutely stunning evening, highly recommended We thank you, it has been a real pleasure to serve you

We have been coming to Saint Cyprien for a number of years but we were never really enthused to make a formal post based on an evening eating out but our meal at MPP (bar a'huitre) is/was the exception...the location of this little gem is slightly off the "main" port area whilst still overlooking the port. The meal which consisted of two fish platters simply stated were excellent and the potato & garnish complemented the dish.....it is clear that the owners/chef take pride in their work and this clearly shows on the plate....

A gem of a find, definitely a place we will be coming back too. The food was fresh and delicious, simply prepared with fresh ingredients combined effectively to make mouthwatering dishes. The evening we went, the restaurant was full and the atmosphere amongst everyone was great. The staff are friendly and efficient, and you really are made to feel very welcome in a homely way.
