Don't be put off by the slightly run-down look of this seafront restaurant. The welcome, the food and the service are all excellent. We had the duck in Banyul sauce and cod a l'aioli and both dishes were faultless. The tapas plate for 11 euros looked enormous and we will try it next time we go there. A litre pichet of decent quality wine for about 10 euros was great as well! Overall, a lovely little restaurant in a pretty location on the seafront and well worth a visit.

The food was delicious, the duck burger was absolutely divine, cooked to perfection! The cocktails went down a treat! The staff were delightfully friendly, and the atmosphere, music and quirky decor was perfectly fitting! Top marks!!! Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed!! I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu and visiting again and again and again!!!

On the side of Avenue Annibal, sits Lâoriental, which seemed to be busy most nights, which is usually a good sign.We were surprised to find a menu dominated by Couscous and Tagines, we duly ordered a Green bean and a Chicken tagine. Both had nice flavor, but were just ok, the sliced beans looked like the tinned variety and were watery, We were both expecting much more flavoring and spice in the dishes. With 3 wine, 3 beer and a coffee our bill was â¬55.40.The surprise of the night was the appearance of a Belly dancer who did 3 separate dances during our meal and seemed to interact well with the diners.Overall an interesting experience, but wont have us rushing back again.

Big congratulations to the owner/s ! This little restaurant won our hearts with the food, decor but first of all - great service! We were lucky to get also a dance and singing show which we enjoyed a lot

This is the place to be if you like good food, good music, nice staf and a relaxing atmosphere. sunbed(â¬12,=) or sunmatras2x2m (â¬35,=). It is not cheap but quality is good and worth the money. Expect to pay â¬100-â¬150 for two. (sunmatras, lunches and a few drinks). It is about 1km on a dusty gravel road to reach the car parking. From there about 100 m walk to the sea. You cannot miss.

Just a step away from the port and the Place de la République, La Cuisine des Filles is waiting for you to enjoy home-cooked food. Fish from the fish market of Barcarès, crustaceans and beautiful pieces of meat are prepared to the planxa or accommodated i
We stopped for a quick lunch and were delighted with the speed of service. The menu is totally in French but we worked out the basics and the food arrived quickly and tasted great.

Wonderful menu - French cuisine served in the rustic setting on the beach. The dining highlight of a stay in Le Barcares is at La Pearla. Great fish and meat dishes. Cocktail bar, candle lit in a Cuban style setting. Open in high season to end Sept.
Great location and lovely food spoilt by the rude and incompetent staff. After waiting 20 mind to see a menu and a further 15 mins to order food very rude waitress then informed us we should not be sitting at the table as it had been reserved(no sign of this) we then had to go upto the bar on 5 separate occasions throughout the meal to request things that we had ordered but the staff failed to serve. I have never had to request to pay 3 times in a restaurant before! The food was the one good thing however with really tasty burger and Tuna steak was delicious however this does not out way the disgusting service! Man behind bar was pleasant and they should move him to front if house instead of the rude lady that acts as a dictator currently occupying that position. Never had a worse experience anywhere in the world. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

We went with our German friends for a meal on a Saturday night so very very busy, ( book in advance) we were luck to get the last table for 4 people, first some locals were on the next table and used it regularly so a good sign, the starter was very good Me and my wife had the Cheese salad ,huge portions and very nice all four starters were very nice, we all had different main courses and all were very good the deserts were all very nice and very well presented, overall a very nice meal all roundFor less than 20 euros each which looking at what we got was fantastic value, the service considering how busy it was was excellent and very friendly, our German friends restaurant owners themselves were also impressed at the value and quality so book with complete confidence we all highly recommend Oh Kakou.Merci de votre appréciation sur la qualite et la quantité de nos plats lors de votre repas avec vos amis allemands Il est effectivement préférable de reserver surtout en saison estivale

This is an upmarket beach bar serving high quality fish and other food. Unfortunately it is situated within an area of depressing concrete high rises overlooking miles of beach. You cannot drive past but there is plenty of parking behind the high rises and then you will have to find your way to the beach promenade. The landmark to look for is a large ship set into the promenade itself - bizarre! There are tables on an upper floor overlooking the sea and downstairs. I got the impression that all the upper tables had been booked by local residents so remember this if you telephone to reserve a table. The cooking is simple French at its best and in particular the Calamars Plancha are fantastic and some of the best I had tried. Meli Melo (platter of oysters and prawns served on ice) was also most impressive. Staff are friendly and helpful with the bill for lunch, including wine and coffee, coming to â¬47. Worth a detour to eat and of course you can also spend your day on the beach.
