Little place in the heart of gruissan village Fresh food and specialized in sea food All the team is waiting for you
Amongst all the offering of Gruissan Village Vielles Nouvelles is quirky and different. A la Carte and Tapas we went for 5 dishes off the tapas menu all of which were well cooked and well presented. We certainly had no complaints about the food or the service....possibly a bit prices for what it was and then having to pay cash because their card machine battery was flat was a bit poorMerci à vous,Les Vielles Nouvelles

Snack Lio is the cosiest little restaurant in "Les Chalet" . The restaurant offers great food at affordable prices - when we were there, some locals started singing spontaneously which gave the restaurant just a little more charm than other places. The dishes were quite large and when I ordered "module frites" (mussels and fries) I got a whole pot of tasty steamed mussels. The great service from the smiling staff was also noticeably better than other restaurants.

During a wonderfully warm November afternoon this place with its garden dining quickly filled. We opted for the menu du jour, which arrived quickly and tasted great; a velouté of vegetables, simple and substantial salad, followed by fillet mignon and finally crème brûlée. Great food and great service with a friendly smile and banter.

We cannot recommend highly enough this excellent little restaurant in Gruissan Port, Rive gauche; The reception from our very friendly host was absolutely first class - we were instantly made to feel most welcome. He was also very helpful in describing dishes from the menu and discussing and recommending local wines to go with our choices. The service was quick - considering we were ten in our party - and our starters were an excellent tomato bread with Serrano ham, mussels stuffed with aioli (garlic mayonnaise) and then dusted with walnuts and then grilled, beef carpaccio and the shelled broad beans cooked in olive oil with chorizo. The quantity of tomato bread and ham was huge so was readily shared around the group. For mains one of our party chose the 'pika pika' which was a large slate with every one of the tapas dishes offered. Substantial but not offputting in quantity, it was a really excellent choice. Two of our group went for the sea bass cooked 'en papilotte' with leeks and a mild curry sauce. Two more went for the wonderful razor clams, cooked on the griddle with garlic and parsley, and the rest of the party chose the amazing Aubrac steak which you cooked at your table on a hot lava rock. This was accompanied by a sumptuous Roquefort sauce. There was still room for dessert so most of us chose the beautifully light home made choux bun which was filled with vanilla ice cream and smothered in hot chocolate sauce. Creme brulee and a home made chocolate and orange meringue tart were also chosen. We were offered complimentary digestifs and coffees to be taken on the terrace. With all of our aperitifs, three bottles of wine, two of sparkling water and all meals, the price - including tip - came out at 43 euros per person. All in all a wonderful experience which will be revisited at the earliest possible opportunity.

Waitress spilt the drink on my mum and didnt appologise!Got told table when we were happily sitting in the bar area, Then we got to the table and had to stand and wait for 10 min before they cleared it! Had to ask 3 times for menus! We had to call someone over to take the order for food and drink as was being completely ignored! (They were pretty full but dont be rude about it and acknowledge us)Food came (tapas style) but didnt give us plates and we had to ask!We asked twice to get the screen pulled down as it got very windy! The Head waitress seemed very nice but stressed and all this looks like it came down to one problem! The Manager was S**T! He walked around like a celebrity going to 2 or 3 tables talking but not to anyone else and didnt help any of his staff. I am a restaurant manager and this place has serious potential but they need to fire him and get someone in who can train the staff and work as a team! Will pop in for a beer next summer but if the same manager is about im not booking.

We have eaten lunch and dinner here, enjoyed it greatly, but my favorite is ordering the take-away mussels with roquefort sauce, which we then ate at the beach with some cold Rosé!

We stopped here by chance on a drive from Barcelona to Marseille and picked this restaurant because it looked charming. Not only was it charming, the food (mostly seafood) was fresh and deliciously prepared. The service could not have been friendlier, with the owner even inviting us for a drink after lunch. Off the beaten path (unless you're staying in Gruissan), but worth the detour.

The location it is in makes you assume this is just a nice local restaurant, but it is so much more. Lovely interior with caring efficient waiting staff, they speak English and German as well. The food was outstanding. Authentically classical French with a little twist, and the portions were huge. Small but excellent wine list. Absolutely delightful.

We had lunch here with friends on 25 April. We chose the restaurant based on previous reviews. On a sunny day the location is perfect, right along the quay side. The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but it is very clean and the hostess could not have been more friendly. The menu is not long but what they do is lovely. Our party ate the home made burgers, the salad and one had the Moules. All of us were pleased. The prices were very reasonable at roughly 10Euro per dish.Great location, lovely food and perfect hostess.Recommended.Cher Muzzer,Merci à tous pour votre gentillesse!!!!!!!Ce fût un agréable moment en votre compagnie!!!Have good holidays in Gruissan and see you soon!!!!!ThanksDamien et Christelle

It looks like the typical beach/sea place with a terrace. I didn't expect normal prices for drinks and good food at a reasonable rate. My "51" was excellent, the Rosé very good and the beef tartare as it should be. While the view is not the best (parking and camper lot), at least one sees the sea. The place is hopping at night!
