This casual eatery is easy to get to and handled our group of seven with no problem, quickly rearranging a few tables to accommodate us. The menu offers enough variety that we could each find something that appealed and the food is pretty good.

If you are looking for a hip coffee shop you can hang out in all day long, look no more. You have found it at Slow Train Cafe. Great coffee, a few snacks and even a full bar! Lots of college students hanging out, doing work and enjoying the cafe. Highly recommend if you are in Oberlin.

Cowhaus Creamery is a seasonally-inspired, ingredient-driven company that provides the people of our community with craft ice creams, sorbets and confections. We take our time. Every ingredient. Every technique. Every flavor has an inspiration and a purpose. At times we're a little off-the-wall, but we are very serious about food and what we do.
I was in town for a conference and wanted a sweet treat before retiring to my hotel for the evening. The flavors were intriguing and I couldn't land on just one, so I got the double scoop in a dish. I was surprised that for $5 I got what is a typical single-scoop serving size of the two flavors I chose.
That being said, the ice cream was FANTASTIC! I would definitely go back if every in Oberlin again...just know that it is a bit pricey for the quantity, but it is well worth the cost and calories! Delicious! I had the caramel salt and the bourbon brown butter pecan.

This is a place for anyone with a sweet tooth! There are so many yummy treats to choose from. There are cupcakes, brownies and slices of layer cakes. I noticed a selection of gluten free desserts as well. We had the red velvet and the salted caramel cupcakes and both were the perfect texture and sweetness. Another day we had the salted caramel pretzel brownies which were heavenly! The portion sizes are quite large, so you'll have some left over for a later time!

Trying to find a restaurant in Obelin that lives up to the price tags (and occasional pretentiousness) is difficult. Lorenzo's pizza was a welcome surprise. Very casual but welcoming. Get there early on a Friday night as there were lots of people waiting outside. Service was good. Pizza was better. I had the "old style," which had crushed tomatoes olive oil, garlic, and cheese, Different that most any other pizza that I've had and very good. The server also brought me a little dish of spices that she said she really liked to pair with that pizza. Great recommendation - I couldn't get enough of it. Prices were very good and I also noticed that they had gluten free and vegan options for their pizza. All in all, a very positive experience.

Located downstairs this coffee shop is bigger than expected. It's usually full of students but we also feel comfortable there as older folks. The staff can be a bit snobby at times but the coffee is delicious and this a just a cool place to hang out.

Came here for a late night dinner, so appreciated they were open until 10:00 on a Monday night. In fact many tables came in after us, as did some people picking up take out. The menu could be much simplified as there is a lot...MoreThank you so much for your wonderful review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your experience with us! We love hearing back from our valued guests and hope to serve you again soon!

Located on the south side of Oberlin on US-20 just east of its intersection with OH-58, my family and I love stopping for a treat when passing by on a warm spring, summer or fall evening and treating ourselves to some ice cream while enjoying the outdoor seating. Their soft serve ice cream is delicious and the large cone for less than a few dollars is humongous – be prepared as you may not be able to finish it! They also serve some fast food fare but I have never tried anything other than the ice cream.

Stopped here for a quick lunch on a Thursday afternoon, I work nearby. The place wasn't too busy when we arrived, but it took forever to get our menus. We did order and then it took forever to get our food. We have an hour lunch took about five minutes to get here. When our food finally came it was past hour hour lunch time. We had to scarf it down quickly. I really wish I could have enjoyed it more, because my omelette was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were great and the raspberry preserves were a great touch. The only thing I noticed with the food was out toast wasn't buttered..

Six of us decided to have lunch at what I fondly remembered as Veia Teia. Seems like the management hasn't changed, the menu did. I ordered my favorite crispy calamari that came with a flavorful Mediterranean salad. All of us got a chicken and corn soup which was nice. My neighbor ordered a curried seafood soup which she was very satisfied with. All the others liked their dishes. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait a long time. All agreed it was a good experience, and expressed the wish to return.
