After reading all the reviews stating how wonderful this place was, and how fantastic the food was, we decided to try Frasers Gormet Hideaway. The restaurant is easy to find, nicely decorated, and the wait staff amenable and accommodating. However, the food was not up to par. We started off with the fresh ahi poke, which was delicious, fresh tuna cut in cubes, and unfortunately drowned in soy sauce. It should have been served sashimi style so the salt in the soy wouldn't overpower the fish. We shared an excellent salad (pears, candied walnuts/pecans?, beautiful fresh greens, and tasty dressing) which was just right for us. A single serving would have been way too big. My husband ordered the pork chop, and I treated myself to the surf and turf. The presentation of the pork chop was beautiful, but it was entirely too much food and was overwhelming. It was on a bed of extremely salty mashed potatoes. The chop was huge, with the bone frenched so it extended up about 8 inches. Intimidating dish with tasty chop, but inedible potatoes. My surf and turf was also too much food. There was a funny cream sauce on the mussels that didn't match the scallop and shrimp. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, but tasted rather mealy. The seafood was extremely fresh, though. The filet was also on a bed of very over-salted mashed potatoes. Both the chop and the filet were drenched in sauce, which was quite a bit too much. So negative review for serving sizes, too much salt, ruining fresh tuna, and flooding the plates with sauce, and for mealy filet. Was fairly reasonable in price, but as we couldn't finish our food because the serving sizes were so large (and didn't want to take leftovers to hotel) we didn't get our money's worth. Had just come off a Holland America cruise to Alaska, where every dinner in the dining room surpassed what was served at Frasers.

Best most convenient seafood in town. Usually have to wait for seating. I've gone several time but let me say my last visit was disappointing. I don't know why I expected fish tacos to be done right - everything else I had gotten there had been spot on. Unfortunately they served me fish tacos in *gasp* stale crunchy shells. I've never dreamed of putting fish in a crunchy shell, much less one that really distracted from the dish. I'm pretty sure the soft corn tortillas are cheaper and last longer so I urge ya'll to make the swap! The fish itself? Fantastic, as always. Clam Chowder? Superb. Warm Buttery Bread? You couldn't serve me enough. Just those tacos. Left me scarred. And scared to try something different again if I go back.

Friends have raved about Jeda's Thai so I tried it for lunch. The place is tiny and always packed, a good sign. I ordered green curry with tofu, my favorite dish at one of their competitors, for a head-on comparison, and asked for medium heat. Jeda's version was light in both taste and texture, with very fresh barely cooked vegetables and big cubes of lightly toasted tofu. The spice level was gentler than medium. A generous portion of white rice accompanied the curry. Staff was pleasant and service quick.

It's a rainy Sunday afternoon and the 3 of us have just been touring Whidbey Island and were ready for some real comfort food. I had the avocado BLT on wheat bread with sweet potato fries. I feel like moving here just so do can have it again (I live in Florida). My husband had the Senior Breakfast and he said the eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were fluffy and satisfying. Maple syrup a bit on the weak side. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. It was very busy when we were there, but we never felt rushed or forgotten.

This Chinese restaurant looks more like a sports pub with huge screens on all walls showing any sport channel available. Background music is accordingly. Atmosphere is pretty good.
Food is just average, expectations were perhaps a bit too high. The chef has to learn how to wok properly, the vegetables were cooked too short and too hard to eat.

Everything at this restaurant was very Bland. Even the barbecue sauce was very Bland. The macaroni salad was not very good and again very Bland. Overall not a very good place.

It has the usual menu of Mexican food. Very tasty. Lots of chips and salsa. I order the chicken enchilada with rice and beans. Served super hot with white meat chicken. There is a lot of seating. You never have to wait. If you're into sports, there are several TV screens. A bit noisy but it is a family place.

We stopped at rustica for drinks and a snack. First of all the service was excellent and they made us feel right at home. We sat at one of their outside patio tables with an umbrella so we could people watch. My Bloody Mary was one of the best I have ever had, and their cucumber/lemon water was devine. We had their crab chowder and it too, was wonderfully delicious. I highly recommend the rustica.
