O Grove Hotels | Places to Stay in O Grove

Mingle with cheerful fishermen in the pleasant village of O Grove. Wide, soft sand beaches meet exquisite and clean waters on this Spanish peninsula, which are as celebrated for their fruitful fish bounty as they are their beauty. Unsurprisingly, O Grove holds an epic annual seafood festival in October, where you can savor sinfully fresh shellfish while you pay homage to the gods of the sea.

Very good hotel.

The only complain is that we requested and pay for a sea view and we technically had it if we stand by the window and overlook the big roof of the spa. Also the room was more on the small side. We had a massage and we were very pleased with it and the water circuit.

We stayed in the hotel for one week. The room was nice. In the beginning we had one issue with the safe so they finally decided to change but it tooks them quiet a lot time till it was done, but they apologies with one bottle of cava. Beside it everything was perfect, room was clean, nice bathroom, the staff was also OK. The only other think that according to me they could better is the possibility to put the bill from the restaurant to the room account. As we make the booking through the hotel web as promotion we received for free massage and mariscada.

Good location, bargain price

Reviewed By NuriaHarket59

I stayed for one week in June 2017 in a package trip. I read TripAdvisor reviews before travelling and I think that most of them are accurate. The Reception is tiny. It is weird that the "sitting room" (TV room with small sofas and chairs) is not near the Reception but you have to cross the dinning room to get there. I was surprised to see the key rings: enourmous wooden triangles! People staying in the other Noyesa hotel opposite had room cards. My room (108) had a big, very comfortable bed, a double closet with mirrors outside, a little desk and chair, a flat Samsung TV set and a large bathroom (also A/C but no remote, I did not ask for it as the weather was cold for the time of year). I was worried when I saw that it had 3 balconies overlooking the street. Yes, the room had views (see my photos) but I checked-in on a Sunday night and... it was so noisy! There were people shouting and cars driving past with music blaring all night. It was a little better on week days but it's a narrow street with heavy traffic and the noise echoes. Take ear plugs with you (if you forget, mercifully there are two chemists' nearby). I must say that both the room and the bathroom were extra clean. The bed was perfectly made, not a single crease in the bedclothes. I had read complaints here about the breakfasts and I must agree. You are not given a choice, you find a pice of hard cake (only one croissant in 6 days) on a plate, a little basket with toasts and no other food: no cereal, no fruit, no yoghourt... If you're used to buffet breakfasts you will be very disappointed. You can choose to have milk, tea or/and oranje juice (not freshly squeezed), and there are sachets with sugar, saccharine and cocoa. I asked for soya milk and they had it, but in my mug it looked sort of weird so I only had it once. I heard someone asking for lactose-free milk and I think they do have it. They have a note on the notice board saying to tell staff if you have any allergies/intolerance. The people in my group (all seniors) were raving about the lunches and dinners, they loved having fish and cockles every day. Unfortunately I do not eat seafish and do not like fish much, so I cannot review the food. The dinning room is very crammed and they are clearly understaffed, most of the waitresses were nice but they had clearly too many people to serve. The "maitre" or head of the waitresses (and jack-of-all-trades) is a very funny man named "Manolito". He did a great perfomance during our "queimada" evening (he was funny and super entertaining and his queimada was great). The hotel has free wifi but the cover is not too good. I had problems getting signal in my room and I was right above Reception, I suppose that people on higher floors had even bigger problems. I did not need parking but I think that other reviews here are correct: the hotel's is far and difficult to get to. There are lots of free parking spaces in the harbour area. The hotel is just 2-3 minutes from the harbour and Town Hall, just a wee walk down and very close to shops and supermarkets (Eroski, Froiz and Gadis).
