First of all, the food matches the ambience?. Chef's kiss. The rooftop also has a rrally nice view and the cocktails are to die for!!!! 10/10. The staff is quite friendly and welcoming. I look forward to visiting again.

very budget friendly and nice clean rooms with delicious Luo traditional foods and a mix of modern meals. Its located at th entrance of Bondo town from Kisumu city next to kplc offices. Perfect get away for couples and best meeting point for family over lunch. I loved the 49'' sports screen at the restaurant from which i enjoyed my EUROPA LEAGUE matches. Best anyday.

We are a 'boutique' apartment hotel. Small, unique and functioning. Megg's Place represents the best of Kisumu. Comfort, thrift, luxury and creativity on a budget. Though, our rooms are kept to a minimum in terms of size, they hold all the equipment's you will need for a comfortable stay, plan your itinerary/a good working day. We are 30 minutes away from the CBD/Kisumu International Airport.
On my way to Bungoma on one of my trips to Nyanza and Western Kenya, we felt need to take a short break. The new road from Kisumu to Kakamega wasn't that familiar and after missing a turn into a mall, we spotted a hidden Jewel. It was a great decision indeed. Cozy, clean and homely place this is. The staff friendly and the service absolutely remarkable. So are the fresh and professionally served meals.

I had booked through Booking.com. It was difficult to find and on an extremely rough road. My suspicions were raised when I spotted the tiny black sign. We hooted to alert our arrival. After some time someone opened the gate. We drove onto an uncut grass space on which a Old rusty car was dumped. Two girls in untidy inappropriate dress came out very reluctantly. The buildings were dirty, paint peeling, windows broken. We had already decided that there was no way in million years we would stay!! A gentleman came out and when we told him we're had no intention of staying he just said OK and went back inside!! We had tried to call the place from a number given on the site but the person was unavailable. How this 'Country Club' has made it on to Booking. com I do not know. Shameful!!

Very comfortable beds, clean and great linens in the beds. Breakfast was served early, and was of good quality too. The location is also safe as it is close to the police station and the hospital. I strongly recommend it - great value for money!

We came to Kisusmu to visit friends. We were a little unsure since this hotel only had one review, but we were not disappointed. It is brand new, and everything is nice and good quality. The bathrooms are clean and actually good quality as well (which is hard to find in Kenya). Very convenient to everything in Kisumu. Staff is extremely accommodating. A few concerns came up with the internet and some of the new technology and it was resolved immediately in a kind and considerate manner. All staff were kind and worked very hard to help us be comfortable. We came with many children and we felt very safe for them. Its definitely up to US and European standards. The view from the room and especially the restaurant is breathtaking. Even with all of the air bnb here its the best quality.

On arrival it was a rainy day which added to the disappointment as rain was coming through gaps in the hotel (some of the hotel is outside). The staff didn’t seem to have any confirmation that I had booked and paid up, and without the assistance of the local person who was with me it would have gone badly. The room was advertised as an Executive Deluxe room but there was nothing in it but a bed with a room next door with a table and a TV on the wall. The bedroom and bathroom was one room with a tiled floor. The electrics was exposed above the shower which concerned me. The bed was comfortable as I was tired and only staying one night. The hotel was empty and I saw no other guests in the 24 hours I was there, however, there were staff cleaning and providing food. The food was fine although not piping hot which was also a concern. I only drank water from the bottle. The hotel definitely needs some work and would have seen better days. It would be a great option for backpackers but not for business travellers. Staff were friendly enough and did their best to help when and where needed.
