i found the restaurnat very run down, carpet ,furniture and general decor, really need s an update. we has the chowder as it was highly rated, i would rate it in the top 10 for HRP but no higher ther are better and tastier selection,,,henry house, mckelvies, cafe chainti, rock bottom brewery and durty nellies to name a few great chowder spots take more than a sign out front

Best breakfast place in town. The Hali Benny is fabulous - two poached eggs on smoked salmon and latkes, homemade hollandaise, knish - all for $12.99. Best corned beef and smoked meat sandwiches anywhere, on homemade challah. Very good handcut fries. Delicious homemade soups, and desserts to die for. One of our fave places to eat in Halifax.

One of our favorite restaurants in Halifax, it's worth braving the Armadale Rotary to get here. Parking is not easy and their lot is small. This restaurant offers something that will appeal to most people. There are burgers, stir fry, liver & onion, mac&cheese, and fish and chips and many other items. We had the medium order of fish and chips which consisted of two large pieces of fish (very good). Our friends had the hamburger (very good) and the Mac & cheese (spicy and different). There is outdoor seating as well as booths inside. The service was good and the staff friendly. The order arrived nice and hot. A variety of wines and beers are available. Prices are very reasonable.
