Referred here by our hotel owner, we were impressed enough to visit twice in 2 days. While menu was limited, dishes were carefully thought out and prepared to a surprisingly sophisticated palate. Small but nice wine list as well. Staff was very considerate and helpful

The Salt Shaker Deli and Inn, is one of Lunenburg's most beloved destinations for local residents and visitors alike. Award winning dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients from the Deli makes staying upstairs in the cozy four room Inn an easy choice.
Open year around, the Salt Shaker deli is one of the best places to eat (brunch, lunch or dinner) in the south shore. With a full menu, great beers on tap and a solid wine selection, everything here is awesome. You can't make a bad choice with any of the pizzas, the pad thai dishes are great. My favorite is the smoked salmon club. Great atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

The Savvy Sailor Cafe is licensed and has great selection of both traditional and fresh new breakfast and lunch fairs. Views overlooking the UNESCO town harbour.
This small, informal restaurant, with good views of the harbor, has really great lobster rolls and delicious haddock chowder! Itâs wine list is limited to NS wines and the beer is all local too. We were very happy with Saltbox Brewingâs Holy Mackerel and Nine Locksâ Dirty Blonde. Itâs small, so get there early for the best views!

Stopped by with the family as it is in an extremely convenient location being right off the highway. Service: fast and friendly Food: excellent excellent excellent There is quite a bit to choose from and I can't wait to see what they will come up with for specials. There is something for everyone here, even picky eaters. Kids menu is fun and appealing. Clams and scallops are amazing. Chicken sandwich was so good. Great portions. They also do take out. Can't wait until our next visit.

First time trying LSF and overall very happy with the experience. We would return and recommend. The open kitchen concept with small dining room and tastefully decorated space provides a cozy dining atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The locally sourced food options were excellent and well prepared. Fish and homemade pasta options we tried were delicious as was the hummus and crab salad starters.Looking forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.
Our lobster roll, (purchased at the end of the day) was very good, but not great and there is lots of competition out there for great lobster rolls in N.S. The bun was only ok. They said they were baked fresh daily but it did not seem very fresh. It should be toasted on the cut sides. The lobster filling was very good but needed some lemon added to freshen it up. A lemon wedge came with the roll but that just adds to a soggy bun if used. The lemon juice should be in the lobster filling. The filling did have nice flavour from spring onion. Some fresh dill and parsley would perk up the flavour as well. As others have said $15 plus tax is too much for a roll, no side of any kind and no napkin, no seat to eat it. At least put some good potato chips on the side and give a napkin! I do not know if the food truck has other food offerings besides the lobster rolls. Kudos to the owner and staff for a great idea, it will be lots of fun at events and a welcome addition to the dining scene on the South Shore. I am sure the ladies will refine it and be very successful. Way to go!Hi Idoherty! Thank you for your review. The bun was fresh, but we agree it was not the best bun choice, we have since been trying 5ish other buns to see which is best. As for toasting the bun we unfortunately do not have any heat elements inside the truck. Lemon juice inside the filling may lead to curdling of the mayonnaise, which is why we allow the customers to add lemon at the last moment if they so choose. The price of $15 was decided upon because lobster is the most expensive in recent history at the moment! And since we get the lobster alive, boil it and crack it ourselves for the utmost freshness, we unfortunately have to price accordingly. Napkins were readily available on the service counter next to the salt and pepper, and there was a picnic table right behind the truck. Since it was our first ever weekend open and I am a young entrepreneur I wholeheartedly thank you for your review and will continue the evolve to meet customers needs. -Lobster Jo

What a pleasant surprise at 1860. We sat out side to enjoy our scrumptious meal. I would return here many times. The inside seating was perfectly matched with the layout of the house. Our waitress was adorable even though the place got very busy after we arrived. So, our food - yum - BLT with a summer salad & homemade tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich - so very tasty. Highly recommend Circa 1860 for delicious homemade food and relaxing atmosphere.

We stopped for lunch at Oh My Cod and were glad we did. A funky restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, located on the harbor, the staff is friendly, provided good service, and the food was great. Would recommend the haddock fish and chips! A fun spot to spend a few minutes over a good meal.
