Une restauration simple mais variée, avec des produits frais et pour la plupart issus du territoire. L'idée est de proposer une carte différente chaque jour, dans un esprit "comme à la maison". La carte des vins met en avant le Jurançon, et d'autres vins
Perhaps only because they are open on Sunday we were fortunate to wander into La maisonette for an afternoon meal. What luck on our part as we discovered the finest, most delightful meal we have had in France so far this May. This is an unassuming cafe, yet they are running on all cylinders here. First course was a salad from local sources coupled with two other samplings of a warm chevre with a pear slice and a cucumber puree topped with a red beet puree...all first rate. The main course was a chicken breast rolled with a succulent center filling consisting of cheese, herbs, and something similar to bread crumbs, served with a small selection of roasted root vegetables seasoned with herbs. Dessert was an equally delightful pear and berry compote with a crumb topping. They should charge more for their meals we think! The chef was engaging and the server quite efficient and friendly, we felt very welcome and special....not something you experience everywhere! Go out of your way to find La maisonette, you won't regret it!

Changement de direction de l'ancien restaurant "la cour des miracles"
Beautiful setting (we were seated outdoors as dusk fell) and delicious and creative food. My husband chose one of the main course skewered dishes, chunks of lamb that arrived on a personal-size skewer that was lit at the table. The lamb continued cooking while we watched. I chose a Basque-influenced shrimp dish. Both were delicious and generous. Service was attentive and well-paced. Highly recommended.

The Loft Cafe is a modern bar and restaurant with a large garden and near the Gave d'Oloron, quiet terrace. Near the tourist office and the theater. You can enjoy a classic french dinner (steak, prime rib) or more local with its famous burger Guit (shallo
We went there on a rainy day with my friend for a coffee. Service was friendly and quick. The place is quite trendy for Oloron and has a good vibe. Oh, and they have free WIFI!

Le Trinquet is the oldest restaurant in Oloron managed by the NOEL's family for 28 years. We serve special dishes made by local cookers using historical recipes. Le trinquet finds its name in the adjoining room of "La pelote basque" that you will be able
We ate here twice, the second time because most of Oloron was closed on the last Wednesday night of September.First time we ate there we had the Autumn Menu - my husband ordered the faux fillet au point (and instead of medium/rare it was cold and fairly raw), my fish was well cooked and everything else was lovely. The service was not very welcoming and something in that area was missing - a friendliness maybeThe second time we went we were not able to sit outside - it was still warm for us, but obviously too cold for the French! We also went from the main menu, and it was slightly more expensive than other places, but the food was very good and tasty and plenty of it (apart from the Jambon starter which still had the inedible rind on it)Would go there again, but would not be first choice if free choice!

It is hard to imagine that so few persons visited this new restaurant in Oloron Sainte Marie on this Saturday evening in July . The service is friendly and precise, and the cuisine is excellent for a reasonable price. What can I say? We had salmon-trout in a very special balsamic sauce, nicely presented with tomato and sweet peppers & mushrooms. As a starter we had small asparagus nicely presented with puff pastry and a creamy sauceThis restaurant deserves a much larger clientèle. Even if Oloron seems to suffer from the economic crisis these times, its cook and friendly service is worth a detour for a nice dinner.
