Excellent price-quality. Fresh oysters, langoustines, hot oven oysters, house speciality - eclade de moules. Need to be booked in advance, or come just @12 for lunch. Less than 50euro/couple, depending on how much you love their products and the wine :)

A family owns and runs the house for a long time. We arrived there by chance in the late afternoon. Weather was very nice and we ate on the terrasse. The owner is also the chef. Service is friendly, charming and adequate.Food is excellent and abundant. Good choice of wine at reasonable prices. The place is quiet alongside the "water channel" where boats "park" for the night. A bit further down the road to the seaside there is more noise and "touristic pressure" (NOT affecting the hotel). You can pick up a shuttle to "Aix Island" ("l'ïle d'Aix") from there and you can see Fort Boyard from the seaside.Set up inside is more formal than at the terrasse where really casual dressing has been welcomed.Despite a real difficulty with our Amercian Express card the first evening, the lady of the house (Mme Langlois) handled the problem with determlination a "client minded attitude" and professionalism. Problem was quickly solved the next day, and we were invited to join them again with an appreciated compensation. We went back for a memorable dinner two days later and got special attention (and promised compensation). Experience was excellent again.Hat off, M & Mrs Langlois as well as your assistant ! Go there blind. Very good house. Our team and I are happy with your compliments. We will continue to search for the best and new flavors to surprise you and offer you the well being that you deserve

The food is good, in particular the burgers, and a good variety of beers. The service is nice, but a bit disorganized, although the restaurant was not fully booked. We had to wait for some time before ordering and getting served (and got served before the table next to us who had ordered first, they were not best pleased...), with a mistake in our order. But the service is nice and they tried to re-arranged things nicely. Some improvements in their service organization would make them much better...

Guided by the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor we made a reservation for a table at this restaurant. I don't understand why people are so enthousiastic about it. We sat outside on a basic terrasse with view on cars that are parked in front of it. The service is friendly and quick while the menu is rather limited and contains mostly fast food like dishes: hamburgers, pizza's,... The appetizers and mussels we ate were just good. The french fries served were brown and fat soaked (I added a picture). This is not a bad restaurant (or rather tavern) but don't come here if you're looking for fine food in a classy atmosphere.

Label Restaurant de Qualite depuis 2014 decerne par le College Culinaire de France
Sunday lunch in St. Pierre d'Oleron in winter. Few people about and few restaurants open. We chose Le vin sur 20 after seeing reviews on Tripadvisor. Simple, unpretentious decor, and an unpretentious menu. Starter, main and dessert for ⬠27, or ⬠22 if you just want two dishes. Obviously, everything is made on the premises. The Lotte medaillons were perfect. We chose a Chablis and were not disappointed. The young waitress was very attentive and we enjoyed our Sunday lunch in St. Pierre tremendously.

Stopped there on a whim on our way to somewhere else! We were very pleased with the â¬13.90 set menu which was excellent value. The roast mackerel was very tasty and included in the price was a small carafe of wine! Definitively worth stopping!

Reserved this restaurant for my husband's birthday and had high hopes. Menu somewhat limited and no interesting blackboard specials. Waited 45 minutes before given bread or water. Oysters were fine but other appetizers sounded better than they tasted. Main dishes equally disappointing. Can't say the fish wasn't fresh, just not tasty. Menu lacked local fish, simply grilled, which might have been better than unsuccessful attempts to prepare more complicated fare. Four seafood lovers and all found it mediocre. Didn't order dessert. To add insult to injury, there was a sizable error in the check, not in our favor.

Really good food, fairly priced, interesting choices all 3 times visited. The chicken with creamy spiced sauce with quinoa was delicious. So was the beef with pasta. Open all year round. Well worth seeking out. Lovely garden at the back and often has live music. Could be warmer if youâre sitting at the back of the room in winter next to the glass doors-but if youâre visiting in Summer this wonât be an issue. A lovely place.

In Saint Pierre d'Oléron, De l'île aux papilles restaurant offers seasonal cuisine with tastes created using authentic, fresh, local and/or organic products. Everything is homemade !
We went to this small restaurant on recommendation. The atmosphere was warm and friendly with a good buzz of happy customers. The quality of the seafood and the cooking was exemplary. Absolutely superb with a clever lightness of touch. The St Pierre filet was cooked beautifully with delicious fresh young vegetables. Dessert was simple and precise!Impeccable as they say in France......we will be returning soon!
