With sparkling fjords lacing its coastline and soaring mountains dotting its interior, Norway could rightfully claim to be one of the world's most beautiful countries. A progressive society, thriving cultural scene, and free camping in most areas make Norway a great place to visit.

Had a fantastic stay at Hattvika Lodge, we booked the Myklebustbua #4 which sits on the edge of the Dock offering a nice view. Kristian and his wife Guri we're excellent in recommending things to do and ensuring we have everything we need! I must recommend the Kayak experience, was a big highlight given the perfect weather and the person which took us (sorry i dont remember his name) was fun and helpful to have around. We also highly appreciated being given the hottub all day free of charge, thank you Kristian!

Gjestehuset 102 is a budget accommodation located in Nybyen, about 2 km from the center of Longyearcity. From 1946 until 2001, the guesthouse was the home for the miners. In 1999, barrack 102 became Gjestehuset 102. Gjestehuset 102 has 61 beds (single rooms, double rooms, and 4-person dorms). We offer lodging with character, casual atmosphere, history, and soul. The standard is simple but pleasant. Welcome to Gjestehuset 102, your home away from home!
We went to Longyearbyen and stayed at this Gjestehuset 102. It was a very comfortable and friendly place. People were really warm and welcoming. The room was clean and very nice. You can go out and take a walk in such a peaceful surrounding near the guest house.

In our main building, you will find a 1550 m2 indoor playground for children, conference rooms, swimming pool, fitness center, golf simulator, squash courts, shop, piano bar, and our restaurant. In wooded landscape around the main building, you find comfortable cabins and apartment cabins. We have 107 Cabins and apartments. All full equipped with kitchen, bathroom with shower/wc, bedlinen and towels are included. Free internet. We also have 12 large hotel rooms (40m2 / 430 sqft) with large beds (280 cm / 110 inch wide). All hotel rooms have free internet connection, TV and a small whirlpool.
This place discriminates against minorities. Therefore I would not recommend staying there. I also have gluten- and lactose allergy which they might be unable to accommodate for. The nature is probably worth a visit, but I would rather sleep in a tent to be perfectly honest.

Wondeful position, really a romantic view just in front of the sea. A bit too small bedroom but absolutely fine for one night stay, we really appreciate the restaurant. Staff was polite everything went ok, a good choice if you need to rest in the area

We spent two very comfortable nights in the studio apartment called Thea Emilie. All mod cons, quaint little balcony overlooking the picturesque streets of the university precinct. The staff at the Hotel Park, an associated business across the road, were very helpful when we first arrived and we were lucky enough to get an early checkin to the apartment. Having just disembarked from a rigorous 10 day cruise of the Norwegian Fjords, it was delightful to enjoy all the comforts of home in such quiet surroundings. Just a little out of the hub, but close enough to be able to walk to Central Station and 1.8km to Tourist Information Centre and less to central Bergen (by the way be ready for queues at this Centre and take a number as soon as you get in the door). We dined on two successive nights at Cafe Spesial, less than 10 minutes walk from 2 Dotre. Prices similar to a decent pub meal in Melbourne. Delicious food, amazing range of ales and we were the only tourists there.

After a long drive we were hungry. But no food serving on mondays. As for Lærdal in general... no food after five thirty.... It is a picturesque village but nothing to do. Our cabin was nice, but the staff seemed like we vere an interference. Our regret is that we just didn't drive past and just went to Voss.

Cabins and camping located in a quiet valley 7 km outside Geiranger. 9 cabins of different standards all with parking outside cabin and free wifi. Breakfast if required. Nice area for hiking and perfect location for day trips in the area - Alesund, Trollstigen, Briksdal etc. Pet animals on site.
We stayed here for one night and rented a two bedroom cottage with one bedroom on the first floor (bunk bed) and three matresses in the atic. We loved the cottage and nature outside. The cottage seemed freshly painted in a vibrant orange colour which I simply adored. We had our own parking space next to the cottage which was great! The terrace was nice and spcious. The cottage was really cosy and very clean. The area around was very open and peaceful. We regretted not staying there longer. Will definitely come back here and recommend it to others! It’s a 16 min drive to Geiranger center. Free wife in the reception area.

We spent a wonderful evening and night in Setnes Feriensenter. We rented a Cottage for our family. They seems to be brand new. Very well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. We had a Cottage with a direct view on the fjord. They might need a proper table and chairs to eat inside in case of very bad weather.

Lydersen Rorbuer is part of the living, breathing fishing village of Fredvang on the Moskenes island in the Lofoten municipality of Flakstad. It offers accommodation with shared kitchen facilities and bathrooms, as well as apartments with private kitchen and bathroom facilities. All kitchens are fully equipped with fridge, cooker and all necessary crockery and utensils, as well as eating area. The apartments also have seating areas for relaxation, and all have views across the Fredvang quay. The bedrooms have between 2-4 beds, while the apartments have 3-6 beds spread across multiple bedrooms in each apartment. Hi speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the facilities. Parking is free and dogs are welcome in some apartments. Lydersen´s proximity to the sea makes it a cosy and friendly spot, where a cup of coffee on the quay-side can be enjoyed while taking in the fishing boats that pass on the water regularly amongst the spectacular Lofoten mountains.
We had a great time staying here but please remember that this is basic accommodation- this review assumes that one is not expecting a four star hotel! So it’s a clean, friendly, laid-back place on the fjord. In season thee is a bar and pizza restaurant. Since it was off-season and we had no car the owner took us to Ramberg where we enjoyed an exec fish and chip dinner. The place is under new management and the token system for showers has gone. The showers are warm and refreshing (shared bathrooms). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen very useful. This is a lovely place and good value for Norway.
