Find out what International restaurants to try in Porto. The town that gave the country (and port wine) its very name, Porto is Portugal’s second-largest metropolis after Lisbon. Sometimes called Oporto, it's an age-old city that has one foot firmly in the industrial present. The old town, centered at Ribeira, was built on the hills overlooking the Douro River, and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 14th-century São Francisco church is a main attraction, as are the local port wine cellars, mostly located across the river at Vila Nova de Gaia.

Seriously the best burger I ever had!Bun was yummy, lots of sesame seeds, everything in the burger was delicious! Fries were amazing too! If youâre from Canada and you know Swiss Chalet, itâs what the fries reminded me of. Our waiter was really good too! Sat outside, itâs a very touristy area, lots of beggers. Right across from the bus station.

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst exploring Porto on our first evening! It looked full so we looked it up later that evening and reserved a table for the following evening! And what a treat! The team are passionate about what they do and that really shines through in everything they do from the quality and taste, to presentation and service! Our waiter was great, really informative in recommending which dishes to have and how many!We tried the beef tartare (both for the first time) and it was delicious! Then we enjoyed the shrimp with cuttlefish risotto... wow, flavours were just amazing. And if that wasnât enough we then had the Hump steak.... so fantastic. The only disappointment was that we had no room for dessert!!!Definitely would recommend this restaurant if you visit Porto!Hello tina1h,We were very pleased with your feedback!!We look forward to a next visit.Thank you.

Missing some hearty beers? Go here. What a selection! The food menu is very different. I had quesadilla and it was delicious! He had a sandwich that was really something. Some interesting choices. We shared a port and desert and I could have come back and tried other items. Quirky. And great. Make a reservation.

The Elemento means Fire Dining, a restaurant where the kitchen is cooking everything over wood fire, without any support of gas ou high technology as a normal kitchen. We respect all the seasonality of our ingredients and we change the menu frequentely, s
Extremely good food in quaint surroundings. Had the tastings dinner which was excellent. Multiple courses with a couple of bonuses as well. Service was excellent. All food is cooked using wood as the fuel which creates the only problem including after youâve left the restaurant . Your clothes and your hair will smell smokey. Better ventilation would make this a perfect place. Photos and menu for the night we were there below. Many thanks for sharing your feedback. We hope to see you again at your next trip in Porto :)

Small & cozy place to have a generous and tasty breakfast or brunch and also rent a bicycle! The concept is simple - Northern simplicity charm with a breeze of Atlantic, woody & airy, stuffed with handcrafted furniture & good old music, great food adorned
After eating you will need to bike a few miles The food is not only plentiful but absolutely wonderful. Itâs healthy and they have many options for those who are GF, lactose intolerant and vegan. It was one of the few places to offer alternative âmilkâ and I loved the ginger latte. Itâs small and gets crowded so try to get there early!

Italian restaurant with a spanish influence with passion and curiosity for all the world great dishes.. A place with a warm atmosphere and a unique concept
The second we stepped in the door we were impressed with the fantastic service - the owner ran up the street to return a dinerâs forgotten umbrella, then seated us without a reservation, no problem! After the wonderful dishes and genuine, caring and knowledgeable service, we were so impressed and hope to come back in a few nights. Get the house salad, the veal with pepper cream sauce, and carbonara - highly recommend. Canât decide which was better: the food or the service!

A small, cozy, unpretentious and inclusive space, where everyone has an equally interesting and tasty option to taste. A house full of affection in every detail, created by a couple in love with good food and that goes on an eternal search for new combina
We sat at the bar and were so interested to watch the chef preparing the various tapas. The tapas were delicious and the presentation excellent. Have eaten all over the world and the tapas we had tonight were up with the best. We started with the Camembert with honey, garlic and parsley that had been lightly torched served in a metal bowl surrounded by lightly toasted homemade bread. Our second tapas was tuna tartare and we loved it. My husband has always been a little resistant regarding tartars but I had to fight him for every bite. A different presentation than I am used to with the tuna cut in 1/2 inch squares. It was delicious. Would have loved to sample so many more but had to stop as we were full. Such a lovely team we do wish them well. Hello, thank you for coming to our house and reviewing us. We are very happy that you enjoyed your experience with us. We hope to host you again in the future. Thank you for so many great compliments, it's truly a great recognition of our work.
