To be honest i'd been intrigued since i saw photos on instagram and finally made my way recently. Perfect. The service was excellent and the dishes we tried were delicious. We had samosas, tandori chicken salad and a basmati rice with tikkamasala. The lemon pie and brownie were to die for. At about 20€/person including beer and coffee and considering the quality of dishes and location I say it's a deal. The place is actually a fully renovated home with an amazing garden i am looking forward to return to enjoy with better weather. The young couple (family) who run it seem to be moving the local music scene as well offering weekly concerts so a good option for drinks too. The location couldn't be better as just a 4minute walk down to beach (ample parking and another cafe) so it made for a perfect day. Great food great landscape. I fully recommend this place if you want to surprise your palate and unwind.

This restaurant is situated in the popular Hotel Meira so often full of residents. Nevertheless the choice is good although sadly, although we have eaten fish and meat dishes at many restaurants in Portugal, the fish here was dry and not well presented at all. Hopefully a one off mistake? However the waiters were great fun and even gave me another starter for free because I was so envious of my neighbour's choice.Good Afternoon,We would like to thank for your preference at our restaurant.Your kind words will be transmitted to our waiters. Our sincere apologies for your experience was not totally perfect. All we will do to improve the conditions referred. We look forward to your next visit to Vila Praia de Âncora.Best regards,Restaurant Dona Belinha
