Sailorman and Friends, a new, young space, located at Naval Povoense Club building that has the sea as a source of inspiration. A pleasant and comfortable space, as being a reference for their burgers from picanha, passing for white meat and never forgett
Recommended by a local for âvalue and classic regional seafoodâ and boy we scored. The Dourade and Bass were absolutely wonderful complimented with jacket potatoes and local stir fried shredded vegetables. Including beers and wines less than 30euro in a lovely atmosphere, staff were also wonderful. Highly recommend if you are doing the Portuguese coastal Camino between Lisbon and Santiago de Compostela and planing a stop in Povoa Varzim Muito obrigado pelo seu comentário. Este é muito importante para nós. Esperamos vê-lo em breve!!!!!! :-

The day I arrived , I passed by noticing all the people dining outside were happy. I entered and was greeted by Maria the owner who makes the atmosphere even more special. The decor, food, will be remembered and not only for the pictures I took. Will be back next year!!!

the most famous dishes here are the "cachorros" and "francesinhas". I can't say that was the best "francesinha" I ever had, in fact, it is far from that award. Although it wasn't bad, the francesinhas is served with a special bread and the sauce is different than usual, first bit is strange but then you enjoy it.The price is also reasonable, and one big PRO are the fries, real potato not frozen. The downside is the decor and organization, the restaurant need urgently some renovation, it looks old and dirty and messy. You can see at some corner boxes and plastic bags full of things. not the most pleasant image to a restaurant, we don't expect to have a meal at a storage warehouse.

We're the third element of a restaurant group. Regional cuisine inspiration with a gourmet execution
Although the restaurant is located in an old fort, the conversion brings no special atmosphere. On a Sunday night, it was quiet. Initial service was in English and good. Then our 'waiter' became a diner at a table of 4, and our new waiter was non-English speaking. The advice given on wine was poor. The food was satisfactory. We are sorry to know that we did not meet your expectations overall. However, we do hope to have the pleasure of another visit very soon in the hopes of fulfilling those expectations. Best Regards

Found this little gem searching on trip advisor. Food fantastic, we had autumn balls, Hamas, mushroom risotto. My daughter had the minion burger and ate the lot. The sangria (be warned is 2 litres) but the best sangria I've drank and we were given the rest to take away what a great service. Would highly recommend it. Very quirky decor which makes it very relaxed.

The restaurant was friendly and the service was excellent. Our server spoke passable English buts gets an A for effort. We ordered off the suggested menu and were not disapointed. The atmosphere was warm and there were hundreds of old items in the Windows as if they were collected. The house red was inexpensive and very tasty. Overall we had a great time and were fill to the top for 43â¬.

Barca was one of our favourite resturant's in Portugal. We arrived early and after helping ourselves to water and wine the owners son appeared to translate for us in English. Americano the father brought out a huge Monk fish that had been caught that day and suggested the Monk fish rice, it was the most devine delicate plate of food and after 25km walking exactly what was required to recharge the batteries. The stock was so delicious it was the topic of conversation for many days later until emailing Americano for the recipe which he supplied. The drinks were also generous and fabulous, for example the gin and tonic arrived in a large glass with a cinnamon quill, strip of orange vest, juniper berries and huge chunks of ice.A must visit if you love food, the family run business was a very happy place to have dinner! 505 Restaurant - Kitchen of Memories. In one place, you can give your friends and family a quality moment around flavors, culture and art. The cuisine is of traditional Portuguese roots and revisits many dishes created by Chef VÃtor Matos in the past, hen
Came here for dinner with 3 friends last night and absolutely loved it! I've travelled quite a bit around Portugal and the Porto area so portuguese food is not unknown to me, however want I normally find is a lack of upscale restaurants that serve genuine portuguese food. 505 surpassed my expectations! It was an upscale and refined experience, however it managed to stay true to its spirit and served us a delicious, grounded portuguese dinner. Would 100% recommend and return if ever in the area again.

We go to Povoa often but just recently discovered Theatro. It's a great place! The interior is beautiful. It's contemporary but still Portuguese. The menu is diverse with lots of fish, seafood and meat options. With vegetarian dishes, too. The wine list is diverse and should suit all pockets. The staff are friendly and prompt. The restaurant is well priced for the quality of the dishes. I would especially recommend the beef as it was top quality and really tasty. I think if you're staying in Povoa are maybe visiting northern Portugal the Theatro is well worth a visit!

On the seafront of the charming village of Apulia, Camelo Restaurant is the right choice for those seeking the freshest and most charismatic flavors of the region. The fresh wild fish, especially the famous Robalo Rice, is the main attraction. Taste it wi
I had the monkfish with shrimps risotto (arroz de tamboril com gambas) and the fish was extremely fresh. The risotto is for two people and costs 37â¬, a bit expensive but real good quality. Starters bolinho de bacalhau and rissois not interesting. Very rich the coconut cake. Long and reasonable list of wines. Friendly service. Nice view to the sea and beach especially from the 1st floor balcony. A place to repeat.
