We arrived somewhat early for dinner and were given choice of where to sit. The venue was ok but unfortunately there was no place to sit outside that we could see.The menu was only in Portugese but if you ask the waiter tries to explain the menu. English is not ther strong point but they do their best (thank you google translate)We had one portion of lam for the two of us and the meat was very delicious but the vegetables had raw garlic in them which was very strange and overpowering. For dessert we had a vanille/mocca piece of ice cream which was nice but nothing special. The wine was oke. We paid 28,5⬠so it was pretty cheap

Restaurante 4820 - Hamburgueria & Pregaria Artesanal - Vários modos de pronunciar, um só de apreciar!
Having my 10 YO son cooking at home, it's no surprise that when he saw a Tomahawk on menu he went on overdrive! To start I asked for a Martin's Miller Gin and, although good, was too light as if there was to much tonic water. Unfortunately served on the wrong glass (same as red wine!)So we started with the appetizers - olives and tuna patê - followed by "bolo do caco" with garlic butter (a typical bread from Madeira). When the Tomahawk arrived we felt a bit saddened with the size (it's natural to compare with the one my son cooks at home - 1,3kg! Last photo). Other than that, was cooked to perfection on a mid-rear color and with a garlic butter on the side and some sauteed potatoes with onions and bacon.Immediately asked for the wine list and it took half of the tomahawk to arrive. Unfortunately the wine was on the warm side. As it been on a cooler temperature and it would be great! I always prefer to have a chiller wine rather than a warmer wine...!After finishing we've chosen dessert but unfortunately there were a few misses: didn't have the Chocolate Fondant, no moscatel or Madeira (apparently they don't serve it here, sadly!) and no Port 20 YO!So I asked for the cookies cake with a mousse of something and sweet egg cream. Asked for the 10YO port (no 20YO) that arrived way after I finished dessert... and was served in a balloon glass...! These were the small detail that felt short of giving the 5â to them. For a small city like Fafe, this is an outstanding place but with aspects to improve that can make them go far...! Please pay attention to glassware and timing when serving. It will change our experience as customers! Obrigada pelo seu comentário, com ele esperamos melhorar e sermos cada vez melhores naquilo que fazemos.

Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Especially the pizzas a wood oven, the special French girl and the lasagna.
Freshly arrived in Portugal after a 25h trip, decided to visit an old friend's pizzeria. The staff is young and energetic. The owner - Jorge - continues to deliver one of the best pizzas in the North of Portugal! We started with a pizza bread, full of good cheese, olive oil enough to get the bread soft. Then the first pizza came - Pizza à Minhota! Big portion, enough for 3 or 4. Tasty, crisp and well seasoned. The second pizza - Pizza Forno Velho - with 2 types of cheese. Perfect for cheese lovers!I DO recommend it!

Adega Popular in Fafe, is a cozy restaurant serving regional home cooking at moderate prices. The atmosphere is rustic, showing the room's granite walls and a fireplace that warms the coldest days. Veal and baked chicken, roast cod grilled, cod to the Peo
Excellent meat, with a typical portuguese style from another age !When you look to the small door from the outside you can't imagine that there is a real antique charming inside and a worthwhile choice. Family run, large portions and tasty of a meat you wont be able to find anymore anywhere else

Great home style food in this wonderful family owned restaurant. Started with some fresh made cod balls (bolinhos de bacalhau) followed by a great half portion of grilled beef (churrasco de boi) and half portion of stuffed cod (bacalhau recheado), typical of Minho. To finalize a lovely melon, juicy and sweet. A place worth driving to!

Nice restaurant and pleasant staff, very friendly. Traditional starters are nice and the main course was good. We had fresh fish and steak. Nothing special, just good.We are living in Portugal for over 10 years now and when we ask for a maduro wine in a restaurant, average price is very reasonable, at average around 7-10â¬. for a good wine. We asked for a bottle of rosé, On the bill they charged us the price of 25⬠for an average wine. As mentioned, we live here for over 10 year and go out for lunch 4 a 5 times a week and never ever paid 25⬠in a local restaurant.Boa noite obrigado pela visita assim como o comentário será sempre um prazer servir vossas excelências Com os melhores cumprimentos VÃtor Carvalho

The food was so delicious and you pay less. The service was great although they don't speak English except one staff. We went there at 10 pm with no reservations made, but they were closed already instead of 11pm. The owner of the restaurant opened the door only for us, so it was as if we rented the whole place. Lucky us!! Thank you very much, it was a pleasure to receive you. We look forward to an upcoming visit :)
