Good location very near the main canal. The decor is very average and so is the food. The presentation is nothing special and so is the taste. Big portions ,a bit tasteless.Price : moderate

I had great experience in this restaurant, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the seafood rice and "migas" that accompany the dish were also full of flavour. The prices are around 20â¬/person which is a very modest price for what you get.Give a try to the amazing coconut mousse, fresh and full of flavour.I'll definitely return to Marinhas.

If you don't know what to choose, the waiter shows you the fish. Taste is excellent. Positive surprise when receiving the bill. A must go in Aveiro.

Specialist in cod fish and he's derivatives ..... also with choices of fish and meat .... We believe in customer sensitization to the possibility of each starter, main course or dessert , to set aside a vinic harmonization . Besides a signature cuisine ,
Most English people coming to Portugal will shudder at the idea of Bacalhau - salted cod which is actually the national dish not sardines - mostly because itâs far too salty for Anglo Saxon palates. However there is an exception to the norm and Bacalhau & Afins serve the salted cod (bacalhau) with a modern twist, furthermore the way they prepare the bacalhau most of the salt has been removed and itâs well within the tasting palate of most non Portuguese. So if youâve never tried the delicious salted cod known as bacalhau this will be a good place to dip your toe into the water of this rather delicious foodstuff. We had the âovos com bacalhauâ - in reality this is a quailâs egg wrapped in bacalhau and potato - not unlike a scotch egg but with salted cod - completely and utterly delicious. You get two as a starter so fine for sharing or a good brunch for one!The mains consisted of bacalhau à Zé do Pipo - fried salt cod with buttery mash, veg and mayo - again not too salty and acceptable to the English palate. The other main was Bacalhau with a seafood risotto with clams prawns and mussels- again utterly delicious but very filling. The quality of the food is very high and I would recommend this place to any non Portuguese person who wants to try salted cod - bacalhau- for the first time. The only problem I can see is that when you have elsewhere it wonât be as good as it was here!!!

Facing the local fish market and the canal dos botirões, at the heart of Aveiro's historic center, O Bairro is the place where you'll have one of the best gastronomic experiences of your life. Starting with the "33cl de caldeirada", followed by the fish&s
Great place to eat. Make sure you book because it is so very.I had the garlic shrimps which were unbelievable. The sauce was so tasty and the shrimps as fresh as you could get. My husband had the fish stew which was the best fish stew he had tasted in a long timeThe atmosphere was nice and even though the restaurant is small, you were looked after extremely well. The smell of the kitchen and the food going to other tables was a delight.I would highly recommend this to anyone and it is family friendly also

Had the grilled squid, loved it. Simply fresh and authentic, focusing on the quality of the product rather than creating distractions. Reasonable price for the quality.

Cod Fish SpecialistsThe new structure Salpoente, located at Canal S.Roque 83 in Aveiro, brings together two former salt warehouses, historic heritage of the city of Aveiro, in a single location - charming, calm, where you can talk without having to raise
As the headline of this review goes, this restaurant makes high cuisine for very good value. I particularly recommend oysters (ostras de la ria de Aveiro), which are delicious and cooked in a very original way. The tuna dish (atum rabilho) with gazpacho, avocate cream, etc are worth to try. Very good fish, particularly cod, which I think it is one of their especialities. Good desserts, try the strawberries with vanilla and vodka. The service could not be better in all senses. Easy to park around, at least in this season.Hi Holoturia H,Thank you for your visite to our restaurant. We were pleased that you appreciated our commitment to culinary excellence. We always hope that you make the detour to Aveiro, a visit from you. We will certainly try to surprise your expectations. We hope see you again! Best regards, Enmanuel Sabino
