Portuguese Kitchen
Alentejo's cuisine is one of the pearls to be discovered by those who love food. I'm lucky to have been raised with magnificent meals from Alentejo, but having tasted excellence, I'm often disappointed even with the highly recommended places either in Alentejo or elsewhere. It is absolutely not the case with Cansêras: the pumpkin soup was great, and I just couldn't stop eating the pork "bochechas". The wine list is an act of culture. Service and the decoration make you feel at home. Most of the food is seasonal (and brought weekly from Alentejo to the North of Portugal), so the ingredients are as fresh and natural as it should, and the taste is adjusted to the weather outside.

This is a good option in the area, located on the main road, this restaurant serves portuguese good quality food. There`s a few option in the city maybe cheaper, for a quick lunch, but here the service are higher level and the decoration and atmosphere as well. From outside looks "posher" than it is, but in fact it is if comparable with options around, and just a for a small price difference. also comparing to competition in the area. Also, good wine selection available.DO I WILL RETURN?yes for sure.

The food is excellent! Just like home made cuisine. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The menu is ok, so as the wine list. The service is quite good. I recommend a facelift though.

Good restaurant for groups. The food is reasonably good. I ate chicken on the barbecue and grilled ribs. It has its own car park.

This restaurant serves up excellent Leitão and other Portuguese food. The service is quick and friendly and the place has a great atmosphere because it is full of big groups of people enjoying themselves! Not the place for a quiet romantic dinner but a great place to try the great food of Northern Portugal. They do a variety of meats and will cook Picana at the side of your table if you want. The wine is great here and you can also try some of Portugal´s lovely fizzy, spumante!! I liked the place because it was traditional and great value for money. It might be best to reserve a table as this place gets REALLY busy! Parking is best just opposite next to a vineyard!

The restaurant is located in central park of Famalicão which can be a great place for a walk after a big lunch. The staff recommended that we should go for the seafood platter and it was the best choice we made. The portions served were huge and the seafood very fresh. Great variety of seafood, cocked to perfection. Hats off!!

Pleasent restaurant, family, with personal attention against you. Sympathy, quality, and satisfaction are our credits. Visit us!
We went there for an anniversary dinner and the food was great. As starters we had salads and sausages. For dinner, we had the traditional "francesinha" and the sauce was quite good. The staff is friendly and charming in their own way. Will definitely go back.
